I live off campus, I just like to be able to leave campus.

The housing has some perks, but mainly the furniture is already beat up and pretty worn down. My biggest complaint is that they charge you for minor fixes, that never get fixed, so really it is another way for University to suck more money out of the students.

Campus Housing at UAF is not a bad situation. The dorms are older style with group bathrooms, rather than the newer suite style dorms. Dining doesn't have a great amount of options and at times it seems not great. However, it could be a lot worse. There are EDGE dorms that are for first time students. Many students want to get out of them as soon as possible but they are a great resource. There are twice as many RAs in EDGE dorms and tutors for help. EDGE dorms are there to make the transition from home to dorm life easier.

Not Bad....Considering. As an older, non-traditional student, on campus housing has been both a blessing and a challenge for me. A blessing, since it saved me from the various issues involved in finding off campus housing, which is a bit of a trick in the Fairbanks metro area. And a challenge, since much of the housing is designed for the usages of much younger students.
