Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Students at the UA are not “everyday people.” They are beautiful and hot. Well, most of them are anyway. The non-hot people would probably be hot anywhere else, but next to the cream-of-the-crop, super-hot UA students, they only come off as "average looking." That’s how hot UA students are. Hopefully, such claims won’t make prospective students accumulate any eating disorders. You really should come as you are. If you’re not hot, students just won’t talk to you. And you’ll probably have a sad four-year college career. Bring a pet if you’re not a looker, or at least a nice personality, so students can overlook your ugliness.

Really, though, the UA beauty scene is just another slice of life that can be experienced and observed anywhere else: There are some hot and not-so-hot people on campus, and they tend to hang out with their own crowds. Occasionally, you’ll see someone make a successful crossover, but it isn’t often. Prejudice seems to have found a comfortable and even politically-correct niche in the beauty sector of society, and the same holds true on this campus. If the quotes don’t convey what the guys and girls here are like, looks-wise, then come and see for yourself. Just be prepared to take plenty of cold showers once you realize just how many hot people reside on the UA campus.

Girls Are Decent

It's 80 degrees during winter. Girls walk around in uggs and bootyshorts in December, and hit the pool in January.

A Hot State

There is plenty of sexual dimorphism, with males and females of various size. Tucson, AZ gets very hot and the majority of students wear as little as possible to classes, including men. The first and second weeks of fall semester are always the hottest and the classrooms have an overwhelming putrid smell of armpit odor.

Facts

Social Scene

Fraternities and sororities are big here, but it is very easy to find a group of friends without being in one. Although it is strange to see a Greek and a non-Greek hanging out on a regular basis, it does happen. The non-Greek folks usually hang out on University Boulevard for happy hour, chit-chatting about politics, music, and the new NPR segment they heard that morning.

Hookups or Relationships?

Both, but usually not simultaneously. However, if polygamy suits you, surely there is someone here at Arizona who practices it, as well. A relationship during college has its pros and cons. You might wind up marrying the person you are with in college, but you do miss out on the beautiful people who go to the UA. University of Arizona has been voted by multiple sources as one of the most attractive and liberal campuses in the country, and come summertime, the tan bodies and short shorts or cut-off shirts make that quite obvious.

Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls

The best place to meet a significant other is at the bars on Fourth Avenue, or around the bars on University. You can attempt and talk to someone during class, but most of the time they aren’t excited to be in class, they haven’t brushed their teeth, or they are busy eating breakfast in class. Love hits you when it wants, but so does lust, so always be prepared or else you will wind up with a baby from that girl you had a one night stand with after a night at Dirtbags.

Dress Code

Arizona is scorching hot come May, so the clothes begin to fall off, and the shorts get a little shorter when it gets near 100 F. Winters are mild, and probably the coldest it will get is around 40 F, so jeans, boots, and a nice coat or sweatshirt will keep you cozy. Arizona doesn't really follow the trends of New York, LA, Tokyo, or Paris, and sometimes you wonder what time these people got up to get ready in the morning—they look so "done up" for class. There are definitely the preppy folk, the hipsters, the hippies, the punk/goth/rock-a-billy, the frat brothers, the carbon-copy blond, tan chicks, and the geologists. But no one is judging you, really, on what you wear and what you look like. Or, at least no one outside of Greek life is judging you.
