The weather in Little Rock is pretty predictable, and a quick look out your window will let you know whether you’ll need to wear shorts, a coat, or rain boats. Overall, the weather is usually pleasant here, but from August to late September, heat waves have been known to hit the Little Rock area. For example, one day may be around 70 degrees, but then the next few could shoot above 90 degrees.
The one season that’s not predictable is winter—it can be extreme and random. Some days you'll only need a light jacket on your walk the class, but the next day you'll need a coat, gloves, and boots. One thing that Little Rock seems to get a lot of is rain. Sometimes, there will be a drizzle that lasts for only a few minutes, but later on in the day, a downpour will wash the students right off campus (okay, not literally, but you get the point!). Essentially, when coming to school in Little Rock, you’ll want to be prepared with a little bit of everything: rain boots, umbrellas, gloves, coats, hats, shorts, and jeans.
