I think it will be a hard to become a greek for a guy.
What is a Greek?
There are some fraternities that are harder to get into than others, but anyone can sign up to go through the greek recruitment process granted you meet the GPA requirement.
To interact and contribute on College Prowler, registration is required. Don't worry, it's free, secure, and only takes a few minutes.

The fraternities on campus definitely know how to throw a party. If you're new to the area or have a hard time meeting people, going through "rush" is the way to go. There isn't a better way to meet people, but you'll have to deal with non-Greeks saying that you pay for friends. The Greeks are very involved in campus life. All of the houses host one, if not more, philanthropy events throughout the year, and other organizations, like Hot Pink Ribbon, give more opportunities for Greeks to give back. One house on campus had an incident in 2009 in which a pledge almost died from drinking too much. Because of this, there has been an understandable crackdown on fraternity parties. All of the Greek life parties were suspended for a couple of months, and the future ramifications are unknown at this point. Underage students are never supposed to drink at fraternity parties, but this is followed as much as jaywalking laws.
The one week in which the Greeks really shine is Row Week. This is basically a weeklong party in which all of the frats have their biggest parties of the year. They all have different themes and have to build a fence in front of their houses. Every house also has a series of concerts; sometimes there are some big names. Previous years have seen Lil' Flip, Three 6 Mafia, Too Short, Otis Day and the Knights, Mike Jones, and Juvenile.
