The SUB is currently in the middle of being replaced, and is looking to have some incredible facilities. The bookstore is also currently under renovation The university is, overall, incredibly modern, due partially to the never ending construction of new facilities. Both the Koerner Library and Irving K. Barber Learning Center provide very up to date services, as well as excellent study spaces. There are some truly massive green spaces both on campus and in the immediate vicinity, including the breathtaking Pacific Spirit Park and the serene Nitobe Memorial Garden, which is a great place to study if it's not raining.

Lots of varied food options: pizza and burger and starbucks, sure, but also Japanese, Korean, juice and smoothies, cookies, and Indian. Student Rec Centre is well-equiped but very busy. Lots of libraries, though their hours vary and they don't stay open as late as I'd like. Spirit Park is right next to the campus so there's lots of trails to run or bike through: the campus actually has it's own bike-share program. Huge selection of clubs, lots of free cultural and sports events

State of the Arts in Some, Falling Apart in Others – Having been constructed in 1915, UBC has seen many transformation in it's facilities. On campus is a mix between very modern (the CIRS building which finished constructing in 2011) as well as very old buildings (Buchanan Towers, which has been there forever.) And the quality of those buildings do vary very much. From being state of the arts amazing of CIRS to the cramped feeling of a lecture hall in Math building.

Everything seems brand new, but glimpses of the old brick campus that used to be here can still be seen.
