there are a lot of options ranging both in prices and type of food. However, downtown is 45 minutes away, so not very convenient to get to.
Then again, Kitsilano is like 20 minutes away and it has good options.

Off Campus Food Is Great – The University Village is probably the closest off campus dining. You can get discounts with your student card at Pita Pit and Booster Juice. Vancouver has great sushi and there are so many restaurants downtown to discover. Some are very pricy but you can find some really great deals. For example, Urban Sushi is really great and you can get 20 pieces of sushi for $8.

Great Asian Food! Vancouver is the place to go outside of Asia to get good, authentic Asian food. Sushi places can be found basically everywhere and range in price and quality from cheap, instant and yummy to high class restaurant style. Another great place to check out is Jappa Dogs, which sells some of the best hot dogs I have ever seen with many exciting toppings. Be warned though, Jappa Dogs can be pricey. Vancouver has quite a bit of a "hippie" population so Vegeterian and Vegan options are almost always available.
