Very Confusing

Applying for aid is simple, just complete the FAFSA form, but getting can become overly complicated. It is a series of payments and refunds. They arrive in such a way that you cannot always tell which amount is from which scholarship. Also, aid money can get taken away even after the office has paid it to you.

It Could Be Better...

For those who are not destitute or a prodigy in academics, it is difficult to earn a scholarship since UCB houses the best of the best. If your full tuition isn't covered even with loans, the Work Study program is an exellent way to earn extra money for school. With work study, you receive priority in on campus job placement. I suggest job hunting in the first few weeks of every semester because the best jobs (LIBRARY!!) do fill up fast!

Fin Aid Needs to Be More Accessible

they re open at hours that are difficult for students to make because of classes and the people that work there are extremely inflexible and have no empathy for students
