College Prowler Take
Davis students are far from overwhelmed by the drug scene. With zero-tolerance policies for drugs and alcohol on campus, students find it easy to avoid exposure to the underground network of alcohol and illegal substances. Considering the enormity of the student body, Davis’ drug problem can practically be considered non-existent.
Not counting coffee or alcohol, the most popular Davis drug is definitely marijuana. Cigarettes are also a common sight, but weed seems to be slightly more popular. That said, it’s a very subjective situation: drugs (both legal and illegal) are easy to get and easy to stay away from. It’s just a matter of getting to know like-minded people.

I’ve never seen any drugs on campus. We have a zero-tolerance policy for drugs on campus. It’s the same with alcohol. |

I don’t think there really is much of a drug scene. I mean, if you really wanted to get some, I’m sure you could search and find it. There are people from Humboldt and Chico going to school here, and those two areas are ‘pot city,’ but you won’t have to worry about crazed drug dealers shaking someone down on your way to class or something. |

I don’t see too many drugs going on. There’s quite a bit of weed, but as far as hard drugs, no, not very much. |
