College Prowler Take
There's not an overwhelming Greek population. Frat parties do make up a significant percentage of the party scene, but students don’t have to be Greek to go. For the most part, the fraternities and sororities co-exist with everyone else on campus, although some students report that the Greek students rarely venture out of the system.
While most students don’t mind the Greek life on campus, some believe that rush week can get a little annoying with the new pledges chanting all day long, the sorority girls singing, and everyone running around in togas and scrubs. However, rather than get annoyed with them, most students prefer to just laugh. Because really, when you see a big group of hot guys walking down the street and they’re all wearing lipstick, what else can you do?

Greek life is here. I wouldn’t say it dominates. We have a lot of students, and only about 10 percent are in the Greek system. It’s not hard to find a frat party if that’s what you’re looking for, though. |

The Greek life doesn’t dominate...
The Greek life doesn’t dominate the social scene, but it does help. I am not in a sorority or a coed fraternity, nor a little sis at a frat, but I know a lot of members, and a lot of them are very funny and fun to hang out with. You don’t have to be a Greek to have fun, and you won’t be pressured into it. But if you are curious, they are very friendly, so check it out. |

The Greek life is big, and...
The Greek life is big, and everyone has their own opinions. I think that it does dominate a little bit, but that’s not a bad thing. There are parties all the time, and some are invite-only. But there are parties that anyone can go to, and they are fun if you’re into drinking and dancing. |

I’m sure there are some advantages of being Greek, I just don’t see any. Why be in the system and pay for it when you can just show up at the parties for free? It’s beyond me. |
