Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Overall, students seem to really enjoy their time at the University of California at Davis. Students are granted unprecedented opportunities to excel academically alongside expert professors who exhibit genuine interest in sharing their knowledge. With such a friendly campus and competitive academics, many enjoy the dynamic between the bustling, active University and the laid-back college town. Some even get a little fond of the cows after a while!

Despite the frustratingly intense course load, fizzling nightlife, and blazing summers, students usually leave UC Davis feeling glad they came. Studying at Davis is a unique experience, and the education you leave with remains with you for the rest of your life. Not only are you likely to leave Davis with a priceless diploma and a starting salary that makes up for all those weekends spent in Shields, you’ll also leave with friends, memories, and the experience of a lifetime. Sure, there are some things here that are somewhat different. Davis is a big school in a small town, there are cows on campus, most people ride bikes, and there are protests for practically every decision Congress makes. For prospective students who crave diversity and challenge, UC Davis may just be perfect.

I GOT MY AGGIE PRIDE

I love love love UC Davis. It's just the right fit and really, when they say that the options here are endless, they really are. Most are skeptics until they experience first hand how much UC Davis has to offer. It's not really a gimmick they say to reel you in, it's true. Wonderful spots on campus to just sit around and chat, or even have a class if your professor was nice enough.

GO UC DAVIS. Also, go visit the CoHo if you can. It's cool. ;)

Best Decision

Before I came to Davis, I was hesitant because of what I heard about the cows and small town feel. But now, I'm proud to be a student here. Davis is one of the few true college towns as the businesses surround itself around the campus. Half of the Davis population are students. People study here but they also know how to have fun and relax! Quarter system can catch you off guard which is why you have to be on top of your academics but once you get it, its great. Study hard (if you want good grades). I got one more quarter left at UCD but I've enjoyed it to the fullest. Also, UCD has one of the best study abroad programs ever! I went twice, once for a summer and the second time for a quarter. I'm actually looking into UCD for graduate school!

Awesome School!

Definitely an underrated school. Love the environment there - people are generally friendly and down to earth. Has a laid back feel to it but when it's finals week, people know how to turn into serious study mode. Enjoyed a lot of the lectures here as well. Some of the professors are very approachable and they have a genuine care for education.
