Campus Tours

Guided campus tours are offered in the spring, but feel free to visit anytime! Picnic Day is often the most popular day to visit. Weekday general walking tours can be scheduled one week in advance by calling (530) 752-8111 or visiting our online registration Web site. Weekday walking tours are normally held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. If a one-week advanced notice is not possible, you may be able to add your party to an existing tour, if one has been scheduled. The tour is 90 minutes long, student-lead, and consists of a walk through the main center core of the UC Davis campus. We cover approximately 600 acres of the 5,200 acre campus. When calling our campus tours office, we will be happy to speak with you about any questions you may have regarding UC Davis. After scheduling your tour, we will mail you a confirmation letter, accompanied by a map and directions on how to drive to our campus. Advising from Admissions is available on a drop-in basis Monday through Friday from the hours of 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., except on observed holidays. We recommend casual attire and comfortable walking shoes. The weather in Davis is very mild and beautiful during most of the spring and fall. During the winter, Davis receives an average of 17.5 inches of rain, and the temperature rarely reaches freezing. Summers in Davis are very dry, and temperatures can climb into the high 90s and low 100s. For more information call (530) 752-8111.
