Technology

The computer at UCD are no where to be found, like in libraries where you need to use computers. In order for you to suceed in college, its imperative that you have your own computer. Computers are sometimes allowed in classes, it depends on your professor. Network reliability is good, but the speed is not that great since everyone is using the network, there are times when the school site crashes. Wireless access is usually able all around campus where there's wifi of course, in some classes there isn't wifi, but mostly in every other place there is. In the library, eating places, financial aid office, etc.

There Is None

There's a bar for 18+, a non-legitimate "pub" with floors that stick to the bottom of your shoes, a restaurant-turned-club that plays only the top twenty pop hits on repeat...and not much else except for the perpetual house parties.

Know the Bike Laws

Bikes are EVERYWHERE on campus, and campus police try to enforce bike laws, such as use of headlights and stopping at stop signs. They TRY to enforce these laws, but they often don't. However, if you use common courtesy you'll probably be able to avoid an accident. If you're driving in a car on or near campus, be wary of bicyclists, because they tend to assume that any cars will get out of their way.
