Grads Entering Job MarketAdvice
- Finding a job in the booming economy of Orange County (recession and all) shouldn’t be too difficult, if you know where to look and who to ask. The University goes out of its way to offer a job search engine for students. A Career Center and frequent expos of local businesses looking for prime youths are also available. Keep in contact with the Career Center and your particular department throughout your time at UCI, taking up any internship that might come your way. With internships come more business contacts, and with business contacts come a better ticket to a job. Job searches through the University engine are helpful, but the internships done during your time as a student will boost both your résumé and your chances for a job.
