The Greeks at UCI, although small in actual numbers, still definitely impact the campus with their unmistakable and often-advertised presence. To some students at UCI, the frequent party fliers don’t even get a second glance before getting dumped into the nearest trash bin. To others, being accepted into a recognized national organization is a social dream come true. It provides opportunities to build long-lasting friendships, future networking connections, and chances to perform community service. Of course, Greek membership isn’t the only way to achieve or participate in these things, though—they’re just some of the credits to Greek organizations. While Greek life is not nearly as abundant at UCI as it is at other universities, there is a definite Greek atmosphere on and around Ring Road.
Even though Greek life is quite exclusive, there’s an open door policy for almost all Greek parties, which is the main source for campus parties. Several students have their opinions of which Greek organization throws the best parties, but with so many going on, you’re sure to find a fraternity or sorority whose parties will become your favorite too. There’s a Greek organization for everyone out there, even cultural ones like Asian, Latino and historically Black organizations. If you’re not into the Greek scene, that’s okay, too—you can still have a social life and remain separate from Greek life at UCI. You’ll probably even end up saving a lot of money that way.

Greeks Aren't Intimidating
The greek life at our school is pretty chill. Personally I am not in one but fro what I've seen they are a really tight-knit family. They have parties which everyone is invited to and they are fun.

Greek Life
Greek life is ok. there not a big deal if you are in a frat or sorority. a lot of the parties are far away because the school is very strict with parties being held on campus.

I Don't Associate With the "Greek Life"
I am not part of the sororities or the fraternities so I am unsure of how they are. I hear they party a lot, and do quite a number of social events, but that is about it.

Every year, the fraternities and sororities get together to collaborate and perform Greek Songfest, a show of combined song, dance, and theater design talents, in which all of the raised funds are donated to a chosen charity or cause by the Greeks.

College Prowler guides are in the hands of students throughout the entire process. Because you can't make student-written guides without the students, we have students at each campus who write, edit, and survey their peers for every guide that we publish.
