At a large school like UCLA it makes sense that they would have a wide variety of choices for every on campus activity. Want to go to the pool we have five, the gym is massive, student centers and libraries are frequent and expsansive.

Westwood has a great variety of dining options and many of them cater to the college student palet. In addition, any time your looking to get more you can take the short drive to the up class and expansive options Beverly Hills dining has to offer.

Los Angeles is a city where it is incredibly helpful to have a car. Its hard to really create a good public transit system in the city but buses do go to santa monica and westwood so it is somewhat convenient.

Health & Safety:
They have University police not too far from the campus and are rather quick in terms of response. The campus is also located near Beverly Hills so the area itself isn't dangerous by any means.

Excellent transportation systems through van services that pick you up when you call the number. Their route is always ongoing so don't hesitate to call because they don't mind picking you up!

It's Southern California, so the weather is ALWAYS gorgeous!

As long as you submit your FAFSA and apply for scholarships, you should have no problem getting financial aid at UCLA.

The only thing I don't like about UCLA and Westwood is parking. On campus permits and parking are super expensive, so I hardly drove to campus. But if I had to, I parked at a friend's off campus apartment so I didn't have to worry about high parking rates in Westwood.

I really can't complain about any of the facilities at UCLA - there are so many academic programs, facilities, and opportunities avaiable for students. And the social scene and campus life at UCLA are just as great!

Since I never lived in the dorms, I don't have the best view of campus strictness. But my friends, who lived in the dorms, never had any problems with campus police.

Health & Safety:
I feel very safe on campus, unless its later in the evening and its starting to get dark. They do have volunteers to help look for crime and various other activities so that is always reassuring.

There is a lot of diversity but they single themselves out and keep to themselves instead of working together.

Health & Safety:
It's in a pretty safe place of Los Angeles. On campus is safe and off campus is safe so far from what I have seen. I have walked off and around off campus many times and have yet to feel unsafe.

We have people of all races, economic backgrounds, political beliefs, religion, and sexual orientation. No one is alone.
College Senior 2013-09-02T03:52:14Z
There are people of many different races, but it mainly is comprised of asians and whites. A good amount of out-of-state students, although most are from California.

Guys & Girls:
A diverse population of both guys & girls. Different looks, styles, interests, etc. I love the diversity here!

The weather is gorgeous. During the fall months, you should dress in layers.

The academics at UCLA are top notch. The teachers here are at the top of their field.

Engineers and Pre-Med have a higher workload and it's extremely competitive. Being in humanities is ok, challenging yet manageable
College Junior 2013-08-30T17:20:08Z
Extremely competitive academics. Work hard play hard attitude

They are very social but far from campus (15-20 min walk). It is also pretty small rooming for triples.

The computer labs are limited and slightly crowded. Also you have to pay for printing. Sometimes the log-ins don't work but then just so happen to work.

The Greek life treats the new admits very well, perhaps better than the old ones.

The weather is beautiful in Los Angeles. You don't even need air conditioning.

The dining hall food is fantastic at UCLA! I absolutely love it. The only problem that I have with food is the times that the dining halls are open/closed. I did not like having times where you couldn't eat, and I don't like not eating when I want to and then stuffing myself because it's buffet style, but the actual food is delicious.
