I Still Have a Lot to Learn – Sociology major is great, I love that study of groups and the reasons behind their actions, though I have still more to learn because I want to be able to relate to others situations that are not similar to mine, and not only relate to those who have experienced what I have.

I had to pull out loans my first year cause the cost of education was expensive. I was never notified either that they didn't reward me m cal grant which would have been a very helpful towards m education.

Very Very Diverse – As far as colleges go, I think that UCLA is pretty diverse. Since it has such a large student body, that kind of makes sense. You will see every type of person when you are walking around UCLA and especially on Bruinwalk. While, I am not saying that there is necessarily an even distribution of different groups, you will be hard pressed to think of someone that you can not find on campus.

It Has Been Great – All in all I am really glad I chose the University of California at Los Angeles. Classes are great, the campus is gorgeous, the weather is amazing, the people are very nice, and you can always find something to do. It is also really nice because while we get the advantage of all the options of a large urban area, UCLA is a sort of separate community where you don't really feel the big city.

Not Very Good – The Big Blue Bus, which is what you use to get to Santa Monica and the surrounding area is pretty good. And there are other bus lines that can get you to other places, although you have to make sure to plan carefully. However, I grew up in the San Francisco bay area and had AC Transit and Bart. So compared to the relative ease of moving across the Bay Area, Los Angeles still does not have an adequate transportation system, especially for how large it is.

Pretty Good but Relatively Limitied Coming from a Picky Eater – There are a lot of choices in Westwood and the surrounding area. However, if you dont have a car youre pretty much stuck with Westwood. And while there are a lot of choices, I tend to only stick to a handful of restaurants when it comes time to choose. Bella Pita is a good and relatively cheap choice and well as Ami sushi for lunch. There are other nice restaurants like the Garden Inn but you have to be willing to pay more.

You Got It Set – Beautiful, and fully equipped gym.
Recreational center with several pools and big lawns.
New stadiums, new dorms, new, new, new!

Fantastic Selection – UCLA has several dining halls and a couple of on campus restaurants that you can "swipe" into. They have great selection and specials. Each dining hall has a theme, which allows for ethnic flavoring.

The people who run UCLA really care about their students and employees.

Not that great especially for the price. I rather cook for myself to be honest, or get a dining hall pass.

There is always something to do on and off campus. The people are nice and friendly; of course you'll always meet bad people but learn to recognize those quickly.
The classes are easy to maintain if you don't procrastinate. The professors like to be reached out to, don't hesitate.
Dorms are great and clean. FOOD is number one here.

Everything Was Good – Registration process wasnt too good, because all the classes would close early. South campus classes were very dry.

Didn't Care Too Much – I didnt really care too much about sports and athletics. Football and basketball games were fun though. Good social times with your friends.

Guys & Girls:
LA Stereotypes Are True – Lots of hot girls, but a lot are pretty plastic/stereotypically sorority girls. Guys- cool ones can definitely be found but athletes are generally arrogant, again very stereotypical jocks and frats are pretty gross after freshman year

Lots of Variety – Good variety and you can get student discounts at a lot of places. Everything is walkable distance from campus!
