Tons of people are into the sports here. I think it's okay. haha

Pretty good, enough variety to go around in my opinion. :)

The process was fairly easy and streamlined for me. However, after I decided not to dorm this year, they took away a scholarship that I had received from the school, so that wasn't too fun. It's their money though, so it's alright. I'm glad that I'm learning and furthering my education, so it's all good.

I love learning at my school, the people I meet, the professors and the things I learn in my classes.. it's the best!

Clean area, nice shops, overall a little fancy college-town sort of neighborhood. I'm from an urban area, so it's not completely city-like in my opinion, but there's plenty of places to eat nearby and places to go. I say that it's a fairly good place to be in.

I love the facilities in the Broad Art center building (I am an art major, and spend most of my time there)! The campus in general is very beautiful--from the North Campus buildings to the South Campus's botanical garden.
College Freshman 2013-11-17T17:56:23Z
Computer labs are available on different parts of campus, and there's enough for a person to comfortable walk back and forth from classes, in my opinion.

There are plenty of apartments around the area; it's just having the right connections for finding the right one, or going apt-hunting on your own... the price is a little costly even with a shared room, but that's a given considering that it is Westwood.

Athletics is very big here, and our gym is excellent.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:30:30Z
The process is tedious, but the money is worth applying.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:29:49Z
Campus dining is amazing. You don't even need to go anywhere else off campus for food.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:29:05Z
The weather is excellent almost all year round; it is SoCal after all!
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:28:31Z
Our school has a very high tolerance for diversity, promoting diversity whenever possible. There are many organizations on campus to provide support or get involved with whatever issue you are interested in.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:26:50Z
Police are present and available.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:26:03Z
There are certain places on campus where wi-fi is very limited or so slow that it is impossible to use. The wi-fi network in the dorms are not excellent either, and an Ethernet cable is highly recommended.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:23:58Z
Greek life is very prevalent but also quite expensive. There is some hazing, and lots of rules to follow to stay in whatever greek life you are involved in.

Guys & Girls:
The students are good-looking and friendly as a whole. A large proportion is athletic or involved with a certain type of sport, and many students work out in the gym or run around campus throughout the week as well. And of course, everybody is quite smart; they are in UCLA!
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:20:16Z
Alcohol is definitely in use, especially at the frat parties every weekend. However, there isn't a lot of peer pressure to drink, others do not care whether you drink or not.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:18:35Z
I love living on campus, even if my dorm is a bit farther up the hill away from the main campus. The people in the residence halls are very friendly, and the halls themselves are nice and clean.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:17:14Z
Health & Safety:
The student health center is quite unorganized, and since they have to accommodate many students, you must make an appointment at least 2-3 weeks in advance. Campus police are present and helpful.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:15:04Z
Transportation is convenient with a student ID.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T17:13:58Z
Food is reasonably convenient and cheap here, since Westwood is right off of campus; many restaurants including Noodleworld, Fat Sal's, pho places, 800 degrees (excellent pizza!), sushi places, boba, etc. provide a nice variety. And of course, there are always fast food restaurants like In and Out, Chipotle, and Subway. You can definitely get a nice big meal under $10.
College Freshman 2013-11-09T23:26:11Z
Admittedly, I haven't gotten to explore Westwood as much as I would like to yet! But I know there's always something going on.
College Freshman 2013-11-09T23:11:07Z
You do not need a car on campus, especially since parking is so expensive.
College Freshman 2013-11-09T23:07:32Z
Amazing athletics! I participate in club sports, which is super fun.
