Very Good – The dining options are usually very good. I only Complain about Late-night de neve: your only side choice is fries, I wish fresh fruit or a salad was an option.

Health & Safety:
Pretty Damn Safe – As a male, I have always felt safe, but for females its another issue. I feel like security is too focused on cracking down on drinking in the dorms and such that takes away from the focus of REAL safety concerns.

Easy Process – I experienced no difficulties in the admission process. It was just 2 simple essays, and filling out past accomplishments, GPA, etc. I think the most important criteria were GPA and SAT scores. But make sure to prepare ahead of time and not rush the application.

Best Food Ever – The dining food, compared to the food of other universities, is like premium vs. regular.

Well Rounded College – My school is very well rounded and diverse. You can meet people from a country that you have never heard before. So if you are from very unique background, you'll meet plenty of peopl ehtere. Also, people can have a balanced life between academics and social. You can have fun and meet the greatest people by joining clubs. You don't have to necesearily join sorority or fraternity to have a fun college life.

Campus Services – There are many campus systems that keep you feel safe. There are walking escorts and shuttles at night. Most of the students utilize these systems. Buddy system is always safe. Even though we have all these services, some girls still decide to walk alone at night. Those are the ones who get raped. But this rarely happens.

Guys & Girls:
Three Groups – There are three types of students at my school. The first group is the athlete group. All the athletes get priorities, and they are treated the best by the school. They are not necessarily smart, but they really are good at sports. They are always wearing their athletes clothes, and they are in practices.
The second group is the sorority and the fraternity group. Everyone in those greek lives is very pretty and handsome. They are the ones who bring up the social life on campus. They host parties. Furthermore, they are very sociable and nice. Because they party a lot, they tend to have lower grades than other students. It is very easy to tell if someone is in a fraternity or a sorority because they always wear their greek shirts. The last group is the regular students who focus on academic. They usually don't care about what they wear, so they tend to wear sweats. They are usually top of the class and they are usually found in the libraries. Most of them are math or science majors, who have no social life. Therefore, any kind of people can come to my college and fit in.

Generally Quite Nice – The early mornings are a bit chilly, but the temperature warms up around noon to afternoon. At night however, temperatures are very very cold. There seems to be no pattern to how humid or dry the days are, and those days tend to vary significantly.

There are multiple dorms on campus centered in one location, which we call the Hill. They are somewhat far away from campus, and the farthest dorm buildings (top of the Hill) cause residents to walk an extra 5 minutes compared to those at the bottom of the Hill. The halls are very social (sometimes to where it's hard to concentrate), but the plazas are nice and quiet. The dining halls/eateries are great, although most are located in the center of the Hill, which makes it a little inconvenient to get to for residents who don't live there.

Ackerman Student Union – This is a really nice and clean place to grab a quick lunch and/or eat there. The environment is quite relaxing. It is also connected to the Student Store and has multiple ATM machines for convenience. The place is also spacious and is conveniently located at the Plaza - where all roads meet.

Westwood Village!! Home of a lot of favorites, including In-N-Out burger, Chipotle, Diddy Riese, and Fat Sal's for your late-night needs.

While there is parking scattered throughout campus, I hear it is very expensive and a hassle to pay for!

It's difficult, that's for sure. I haven't taken any upper division classes yet, but I heard the faculty are very good! Difficult classes, but a rewarding learning experience.

I Don't Hang Out at School – I don't live on campus, but it seems like other people really enjoy activities in and around campus. westwood is a nearby neighborhood.

Health & Safety:
Campus Safety – There are people who will escort students if they feel unsafe at night. There are always students in groups and I've never felt unsafe walking on campus.

I Love LA – Los Angeles is a great town. The UCLA campus is historic and beautiful. There is a huge city to explore and two years won't be enough to do everything I want.

Sunny Most of the Time – Basically, the only time it rains is during the winter, and it usually doesn't rain heavily. Most of the time, it's sunny; I would say the cold is not a problem.

On Campus Dorms Are Great – Living on campus is definitely a plus. You're close to your classes (10-15 minute walk)and at the same time have access to four different dining halls.

South and North Campus – Two different worlds between North and South campuses which are humanities and sciences respectively. If you are majoring in tough science majors like Biochem, Physiological science, chemistry, say good bye to social life. If you are on north campus, you will enjoy everything about the college and it's social life.

Horrendous Parking at UCLA. You need a permit to park on campus which is very very expensive. Street parking is very hard to find. The street cleaning is annoying and the parking enforcement is right on the dot about giving you tickets.

Guys & Girls:
UCLA is diverse. It's about 40/40 white/asian and rest other possibly more. There are many attractive women but not as attractive men. As with any other campus, there are attractive, non attractive, smart, or ditzy people. UCLA has a big greek life and a great college town of Westwood.
College Junior 2011-11-30T07:25:05Z
Use Those Legs. The best way to get around campus and to enjoy some things off campus is walking. Due to the campus's size, everything is easily accessible by walking. Also, Westwood is easily reached by walking--it's right there when you get off the UCLA campus!

A lot of good-looking Asian girls. This, however, doesn't meant that all the other types of girls aren't. Everywhere you go, there's a guarantee that there's more than a handful of good-looking, hot, cute, and sexy women in your sight.

One Weird Habit – The girls and guys are generally good looking but wear WAY too much fragrance. I don't know what it is! I'm choked by some dude's axe or some girls perfume multiple times a day. Besides that, 99% of girls and guys are nice and pretty laid-back.

Reflects LA – There's a strong LGBT community and a major Asian and Hispanic presence on campus. While most UCLA students are liberal, there are also lots of active religious groups, but most are tolerant and progressive. It's impossible not to meet people from radically different back rounds--it creates an amazing cross section of the diverse city.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
