Guys & Girls:
The People Are Cool – The majority of the students at ucla are from California. I don't really pay attention to the guys because Ive had a boyfriend since high school, but I have seen some really hot guys sprinkled around. The girls are very similar, it's crazy how similar people from norcal (northern California) act in comparison to people from soCal. But everyone's friendly. And the sorority and fraternity people are always hyped up.

Westwood Village – We have a wide variety of options, from burger king, to sushi, to Italian. If you have a taste for something, you'll definitely find it in Westwood, well except for McDonalds lol. They always have specials, and once a quarter they have Bruin's Night Out where almost, everything in Westwood has special offers only for ucla students. Everyone loves enzo's pizzeria. If you're into hookah, they have a great hookah bar, Habibi. Oh, and the famous Diddy Reise cookies is always a student and tourist favorite.

Originally, I wanted to go to USC, but coming to ucla was definitely the better option. The academics were hard, but that's expected when you go to one of the best schools in the world. I've made a lot of friends, and have met people that are willing to help me in my educational and career pursuits. This is definitely the best school to be at

OMG THE FOOD! I'm very thankful for our dining halls. The food is always great and there are always so many options. We have 4 dining halls and they're all buffet style, so with one swipe from your Bruincard you can eat as much as you want. However, we also have 3 dining restaurants as well. There's a Mexican/Asian food one, a deli-type one, and an Italian one. If you don't feel like eating in the halls you can swipe food from one of these places and take it back to your dorm. The restaurants are all open till 12 or later. Also, one of the dining halls turns into a fast food restaurant after 9 o clock and they're open until 12, we call it Late Night. The food is something that no one can ever forget after coming to ucla.

Ucla, is definitely one of the most beautiful campuses. It's always clean and the people rare always friendly. It is an open campus, so we do tend to get a lot of random people from Beverly hills and the surrounding areas walking their dogs on campus and things like that. Ucla, is just a great place to be

Athletic centers...could be better, but everything else is really nice!! Some of the classrooms are a bit dated/not amazing, but they are fine and work for their purpose! Libraries, activity areas, and general campus appearance are all wonderful

The Academic Advancement Program within UCLA is great. The offer a plethora of internships, work study, research programs, lectures, and special guest. The help underrepresented students make the most of their college experience and create a place where one can feel comfortable.

In UCLA the major focal point for activities is on the famous Bruin Walk built for the Olympics. Here is were the University is booming with clubs recruiting, people performing, food being sold, farmers markets being hosted, and the student store madness sales taking place. As you walk by student great you trying to get you to come out to their events to support their causes, there is always something interesting to do on Bruin walk. The centrality of all the student on Bruin Walk makes it fun and welcoming to go to the gym, eat on campus and, simply hand out. UCLA is its on little city with everything needed to be found on campus of in Westwood about a 5 minute walk. UCLA is great but what makes it so is Bruin Walk.

Highly rated food. Lots of options with three dining halls and three quick service restraunts within five minutes of each other. On campus, there are tons of additional food options all over, which can be easily bought using your Bruin Card.

Pretty Great – Wireless is just starting to go through the dorms. Everyone living on campus gets free printing in dorm computer labs. Additionally, if you are taking a class within their department, you can get free printing in their lab. Computers are available to rent from the library.

Diverse and Open – UCLA is extremely diverse. There are students representing virtually all ethnicities. I came from a diverse high school and didn't see much of a different, but have had friends shocked by the diversity. The diversity continues in politics and religion. There are student groups for all types!

The greek life is in my opinion, is disappointing. The members are focused on the next social event that relates to drinking and social status.

The political views and opinions at the campus are refreshingly diverse. Many discussions have been had regarding the past, current and future state of politics, and it is always fascinating and thought provoking.

Poor for Middle Class – I don't have enough financial aid. I could have more because my parents cant pay what the housing is asking for.

Fun City – UCLA is around alot of places. We have Westwood like a few blocks away, We are near Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood, Knotts Berry Farm and other things. The mall is really close and it's only a dollar to get there. It's easy to get around eveywhere.
College Senior 2011-11-04T22:26:16Z
Buses Are the Only Option – There is always so much traffic in LA that it is difficult to find parking spaces, which is why most people prefer to live on campus and not drive. However, with that, we are left with the only option of buses. The buses are okay, but they can become tiring and tedious to take when it is the only mode of transportation. The bus fare has also been increasing, which makes it more hard for students to use.

The Greek Life is pretty active at UCLA. There is Frat Row, where most of the parties are easy to get into on the weekends. It doesn't seem like the sororities or fraternities really care much about anything other than partying, however.
College Senior 2011-11-04T22:17:42Z
Pretty Good – The gym at UCLA provides a lot of machines and activities for us to do. We can sign up for yoga, rock climbing, and even surfing classes. There are plenty of libraries scattered around campus to help us study and provide a place to nap.
College Senior 2011-11-04T22:08:12Z
Not Bad, Could Be Better – Get a pretty decent amount of financial aid, but I think the school could be doing more to give students that need it more. There is a financial aid office in Murphy Hall if you need help.
College Senior 2011-11-04T22:06:33Z
Beautiful campus, people are generally warm and friendly. People know how to have fun, but they definitely study, too. Your freshman year is pretty chill so enjoy it!
College Senior 2011-11-04T22:00:25Z
Computer labs in the halls are never full, you can always sit down at a computer and get what you need to do done. Internet is always pretty reliable. There are computer labs almost everywhere, in the Student Activities Center, Powell Library and more. You could definitely not have a computer and be okay, it's just a matter of convenience.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
