Bruin Bus, Metro, Big Blue, and zip cars; it's easy to get around UCLA.

Guys & Girls:
The guys and girls are very diversified due to the student body being very ethnically diversified. Dress can range from very stylish to girls wearing short shorts with high heels. Guys are in Bruin wear, or jeans or even dressed a bit preppy. I do feel that the guys dress better than the girls.
You can definitely tell who the athletes are.

They are there to help when called upon. Drug use and underage drinking is taken quite seriously. Also the honor code when it comes to academics is strictly enforced.

I love the beauty of the UCLA campus. I have made many friends in my classes. I also attended summer school and would recommend that for anyone who wants to get a head. Only if you are dedicated and hardworking. It is not for procrastinators. The people make UCLA unique. from the students, to the professors, counselors and all the hardworking facility people.

Health & Safety:
The Arthur Ashe Health Center is in the middle of campus. You have to walk by it to get to classes and on the way back you pass it to get to the dorms and or parking lots. The campus police will walk you from your class at night to your dorm or car if you call and request it. All the parking structures are very well lit.

Most classes have on average 40 students in them. Except for the large lecture and those have 80-120. But will also have a discussion aspect as well. Registration has two passes, on the first students can only register for 10 units (2 classes) and on the second pass you can register for
(9 units). There are many places where students can study.

I'm an English Major and am pleased with my professors and the courses offered. I'm also in College Honors and there are plenty courses that are offered to reach my goals. My professors are all fairly young and exude passion for their particular field. The English counselor sends at least 6-10 emails every day with events and scholarship opportunities.

Parking at UCLA is expensive. The parking lots are all a good walking distance from the classes. There is ample parking if you allow an hour before your class to find a space. If you come at the last minute you may have to drive around for a while.

While things are constantly available (loans and such), the way things are run make it hard for those to get what they need. A friend of mine just barley out of homelessness couldn't get anything in financial aid. I had one scholarship, but that ran dry and the financial aid office seem constantly busy. It generally hard to get money from the establishment unless you have an outstanding concern, even then, like my friend, it is difficult.

Guys & Girls:
THere are many flavors of people here and that's wonderful. People will say it is an Asian dominated campus, but if you look around there's so much more to it; International students who can hardly speak english, people who stayed in one place their whole lives, people who've been around the world, and world changers.

You hear very little about Greek Life unless you are in it or know someone that is. They hold few events and participate in handing out flyers and the occasional fundraisers, but they are mostly secluded to their respective houses. Parties are open to others as are their events, but unless there is an accident, it isn't all to noticeable.
