Great Aid

Just be persistent about the financial aid. Don't stop trying because the help will come, just be patient.

Fairly Well

Financial aid is not a total nightmare in UCM. Most students receive a good amount. It is important to know your living situation before applying for financial aid. I had an awful experience in which I decided to live on campus last minute and due to my late notification I was reduced thousands of dollars off of my scholarship.

Advice on Financial Aid

The student body has mixed feelings about the financial aid process. It appears the less financial aid one receives in the first place, the easier it is to deal with the financial aid office. Otherwise, there are some complaints, with perhaps the biggest one being refund checks not getting processed quickly enough. However, the financial aid office does try to reduce the hassle by holding workshops on how to fill out different worksheets and how to manage money. The front desk help personnel are also approachable throughout the school day. The best way to avoid huge problems would be to apply early for financial aid and to try meeting the priority deadlines.
