Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

For sheer convenience, a personal computer is highly recommended. For those who aren't so fortunate, the libraries and dorm facilities offer plenty of computers, along with other useful equipment. During peak hours, waiting for an open spot can be as long as 15 minutes, but it's usually much shorter. The network system itself is pretty reliable and accessible almost anywhere on campus.

The computer labs are staffed with Resnet Computing Services student workers, and they are usually very helpful, knowledgeable, and able to rectify common problems, like paper jams and frozen computer screens. Unfortunately, students who encounter problems in the residence hall labs tend to have a difficult time acquiring timely help, especially after hours. The Resnet staff has many people to serve and is largely overworked. The simplest way to reduce school-related stress, especially for classes that require online use, is to have a personal computer and printer.
