College Prowler Take
Most students agree that UCR offers great facilities for students. The campus is constantly improving upon buildings and places for students, but the Student Recreation Center definitely hogs the spotlight for students. Students love the rec center, with its huge weight room and frequently updated and modern equipment, such as treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bicycles, and stair-steppers. Four individual racquetball courts, four multipurpose rooms, and a place for badminton are also available, as well as inside and outside basketball courts, a track for walking and running, a hockey rink, tennis courts, and outdoor volleyball courts. For the adventurous, the center built and opened up a ropes course complete with a rock-climbing wall. Group exercise and dance classes are also offered, and there are a variety of UCR Outdoor excursions or trips at discounted prices, such as backpacking, horseback riding, mountain biking, day hikes, camping, rock climbing, kayaking, surfing, windsurfing, whitewater rafting, sailing, and wakeboarding. The Student Recreation Center is the happening place to be for students.
UC Riverside is also constantly expanding. In the 2009 winter quarter, the campus unveiled a new three-story Commons, and recently opened three new buildings, with several others expected to be finished in the coming years.

What To Do on Campus
Students can exercise, study, surf the Internet, and watch performers at the Bell Tower on certain days). Students can also shop at the small shops that are set up around the Bell Tower on most Fridays.

Go crazy in the residence halls inventing your own games or watch movies.
