Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

When students contemplate their overall experience at UCSD, they usually base their opinions around the friends they have made and the good memories they have. Although academics at UCSD are world-class, they are not always the most important factor in the overall experience. Social life at UCSD is known to be a little boring. Many students wish they had a more active social life, but most still manage to find friends with whom they create lasting memories.

After adjusting to life at a large university, students say they enjoyed their time at UCSD and could not imagine going anywhere else. They especially like living in such a beautiful area and attending a challenging research university. Living on your own in college is an invaluable experience and teaches many students just as much as lectures and labs. Most of all, students are appreciative of their friends, and the people they meet have the biggest impact on their overall experience.

Help Available

UC San Diego has some of the most engaging and passionate professors I've ever encountered. These professors absolutely love their job and reach out to you in hopes that you might appreciate their course study as well. Though the material and workload is quite rigorous, there are TAs for these courses and they help better understand the subject matter in discussion section.

Gym Is Great

Rimac Gym at UC San Diego is really nice with it's new and modern machinery. The very large campus is definitely beautiful in aesthetics. The Geisel Library looks like a spaceship with millions of books inside and is a great place to study. There is the Price Center where students can enjoy fast food, study, and attend seminars and meetings.
