I have been admitted to several colleges thus far, one of which being UCSD, does anyone know if the Poli-Sci, International Relations program is good at UCSD?

scroll, addressed this a couple comments away.

Just wondering but what were your c?redentials for getting accepted into UCSD and did you get any aid? If you dont mind answering

got into UCSD, UCLA, and UC Berkeley. Ivy league stats, poor, ACT Math 34, Math Level 2 750 subject exam, lots of 4's and 5's on AP's meaning he won't be a drain on frosh classes as much as some, Eagle Scout, ski instructor Tahoe, E National Coaching License coaching Hispanics, rebuilds bikes for poor at Reno Bike Project, about 50 Dual credit college courses, this year is multivarible diff calc and Linear Algebra for senior year math, first in family to go to college, grew up in at-risk , high crime neighborhood. paying out-of-tuition,we're dirt poor, but Mom from SF, worked as RN at UCSF for a dozenyears, her RN from CA public school, lived in CA 1960 to 66 Los Altos hills (Silly Valley),and again from '74 to '92. GrandDad USNNavy aviator CDR stationed at now closed Silly Valley Moffet Field. His grandma and my Mom and her second husband , both from Germany have made CA their homes for 60 years and took a Silly Valley co pubic in the 80's, him from East Bay andthey bought and lived in Saratoga = big $ Silly Valley zip code. CA history. My sister owns property in Berkeley and Tahoe, her Berzerk home right next to campus in North Berzerk and her husband, haralod Leventhal is a double CAL (berkeley) major in retoric and owned an apple retail store at one point - a CA company, and his sister jeanne Levanthal ugrad CAL, MD, head of Kaiser psychatry East Bay SF for years, and their other brother CAL ugrad, JD and for years a partner at brobec fedger somethng in SF, major SF law firm, international, and the other sister went to CAL and and runs her company out of the town next to Berserk, and their DAD was a chief physicist at CAL Lawerence Livermore for many years. and that's not all, the man who my son calls dad ,but is not, is from Palisades (tony Malibuish coastal community) in SoCal, and he's a UCI alumn, his neice is now a frosh at UCLA, blah blah blah blah blah.

Sounds good right? Out-of-state money is big for CA, who got screwed by first Texas Enron (they hate californians in Texas - and I know, my Dad and his relatives are there an TN and u should hear how they taqlk about the "fruit and nuts" of CA, when they don't know you're not a Texan. and the WAll Street banker raping, hit CA property taxes hard, very hard. I love California and am so happy my son is going home. Had enough of Nevada. I wonder how many of those ED decisions of acceptance were for needy scholarship kids? My son is only able to go to UC and not have loans due to a generous gift from his USAF Dad: 100% Post 9/11 GIBill chpter 33 which covers about $42K/year at top law or mba or Ivy grad schools with Yellow Ribbon or about #32K ugrad depending on Yellow Ribbon status. And the no-where Dad, who haasn't seen his son in over six years also has agreed to pay medical dental till 26. some blessings. I only have a community college degree: two of them. We love California.! UCSD is awesome, so is LA, so is CAL. can't hardly sleep, so happy for my son.
