Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The facilities on campus are excellent. There are lots of newer buildings, including a huge gym, RIMAC, and the Price Center. There are so many facilities on campus that UCSD is like a mini-town where you can find anything you need on campus. Students enjoy hanging out at the Price Center, Library Walk, and the Old Student Center. The Giesel Library, named after Dr. Seuss, a former resident of La Jolla, is well known and has even been used in a few movies because of its interesting architecture. UCSD students are happy with the facilities on campus and enjoy using them.

A common problem with the facilities on campus is the crowding. The Price Center was expanded, and plans to renovate other facilities on campus in the next few years are underway. However, UCSD is growing quickly, and the campus is starting to become overcrowded. However, campus is still beautiful and scenic, and with all the construction going on, there are new facilities being built each year.

Closure Leads to Crowds

Libraries have been closing down one after another though the most favored one is still open. The athletic center fees keep increasing and has good equipments, attracting a crowd. The campus overall is very unique with different aesthetically pleasing constructions. Campus activities at large brings in people from other colleges while smaller events are just for socials.

Study Spaces

There are many areas to study on campus, the most popular being Geisel or Clics, and a few other favorites of mine are the Biomedical Library or Scripps right by the water. Price center also has study rooms and tables available right next to the food court. There are also numerous computer labs and study lounges spread throughout campus so that no matter what type of environment you prefer to study in, there are always options.

DEAD CAMPUS

ATHLETIC CENTERS AND STUDENT CENTERS HAVE MANY RESOURCES AVAILABLE, BUT GENERAL CAMPUS AESTHETICS AND SCHOOL SPIRIT IS PRETTY DEAD.
