Weather is simply amazing and beach is next to the campus, love the weather to play out door sports and go surfing!

My son loves to surf (even though we are from the midwest)...he's very bright, but I'm afraid if he attends school with surfing so close, he may let that become a distraction. Do UC-San Diego students REALLY have time for academics and surfing? I'm not intending to send off on an extended "vacation," after all! Any "smart surfers" want to chime in on this dilema?

It's beach weather. It's CALIFORNIA BEACH WEATHER. Need I say more?

california beach weather sucks, cold windy air and freezing water. 2/12 months are beach weather. lived in so cal whole life and visit sd beach frequently. same as newport, laguna, etc.

you sound aggravated

appreciate your honest assesment. at least it's just a hop to costa rica or north shore Oahu!
