The Banana Slug Bulletin is mailed three times yearly and describes new services and benefits for its members. It gives updates on research, scholarships, grants, faculty, and alumni events. Members also receive a bi-monthly eSlug Bulletin via e-mail.

- Also in May is the alumni’s annual wine tasting event which is a nice way for USCS alum to get together in a more intimate setting.
- In March, there is the “March Mixer,” which is a student/alumni mixer. This is a chance for alumni to see what UCSC is becoming and for students to see what it was.
- In May, there is the Banana Slug Spring Fair, which is home to the alumni reunion. Alumni from all over come together and engage in a variety of different lectures and meetings, as well as the occasional outdoor picnic.
