Orlando is just a huge town. A lot of people say they run out of things to do, but that's because they don't go to the right places. Downtown Winter Park is great for a night out. The club scene is pretty solid. Plenty of bars. There's always something to do, you just need to know the right people.

Wonderful. I love this school. I love the academics! I think most teachers are amazing

The campus is strict to a degree but nothing overwhelming. I think they are strict enough to make me feel safe, especially after the events that happened recently. But they are not overbearing to the point of being ridiculous

UCF is close to so many different attractions, such as theme parks and shopping. It's always a good time of the year to go a play outside sports.

I am currently enroled as a Finance major. I am soon thinking about changing it to Marketing. I like how many major options that are available at UCF.

The athletics at UCF is pretty involved. People usually get really into the games and go to watch our boys play. It is definitely a fun environment and a good time.

The shuttle bus is amazing and very convenient. It comes every 15 minutes and pick me up directly in front of my apartment. I love it!

There are a lot of options available to the students.

I currently am getting my pell grants and using my loans. I found it a little difficult to find out more about the scholarships. I would have liked if my financial advisor would have spent more time explaining what scholarships were available for me.

I currently live an hour away from the Orlando campus but I am close to the regional campuses. I split a 2 bedroom apartment with a roommate and have a good relationship with my landlords. I pay for my part of the bills and also am responsible for my own personal bills. I live in a pretty good neighborhood.

The parking is okay. There is just so much volume of students that need to park there so it can be a hassle sometimes.

Unfortunately this semester I am not entitled to the pell grant but I am going to receive aid from bright futures. When I was on the phone with financial aid they were moderately helpful. By the end of the conversation they were pretty patient and tried to get me the means of answering my questions, although not all of them went answered.

Not bad. There's all of the fast food chains within a two mile radius (Wendy's, UCF's own McDonalds, Steak N Shake, Chick fil A, etc...), but at places like Waterford Lakes Mall and on both sides of Colonial, there's lots of different types of eateries and bakeries. The best part is that they're not too pricy either.

I give UCF a B- because EVERYONE can get alcohol, easily. All you need is a fake or know people at clubs and you can get your drinks. Ladies get handed drinks, or sometimes if you have the money, SOME (that's only if you know people) bartenders will serve you if you're under 21. However, alcohol abuse has been a big problem on campus within the last two semesters. Sororities and frats were banned this past semester on underage drinking and excessive alcohol. So, although you can easily get anything you want, you need to watch out as officials are cracking down really hard on the student body.

We have great programs if you take advantage of it. The only downside is the lack of personable environment in the classroom.

We actually have a very safe campus. Despite how strict they can be about drinking and drug use - the police are overall loved. We had a big scare this year and thankfully our very own police force was able to be there within minutes.

Guys & Girls:
Being one of the largest schools in the nation, you will find all types of people at the University of Central Florida. People range from the unattractive to the most beautiful and interests, dress, and relationships vary through out our community. Of course, there are those who take a different girl home every night or girls who go home with a different guy every other night, but these are also things that vary on the crowd you hang out with. With this being said I would say overall, UCF is a party school and people like to have fun here - this being a major priority of the students.

Nightlife is awesome at UCF! The local bars always have great specials and everyone goes out a lot. All the specials you need to know are on the Party Tutor smartphone app.

The weather in central Florida is constantly changing. Some days it is rainy and pretty nasty outside, which makes for a difficult time going from class to class across the campus. But every other day that it's not raining is a perfect day to spend as much time outside walking around campus or eating lunch by the pond under the sun.

I will be an incomming freshman there this fall but i can tell the students really love the sports teams

The parking situation at UCf is cool. Even if the spots fill up quickly, which they do... There is one extra parking garage just for people who don't have a parking pass and plenty off campus spots that provide free shuttle transportation. Can't ask for more than that!

Our last incident was a suicide attempt, that's it

UCF is very lenient and relaxed when you are following the rules. The RA's make you feel comfortable and are always open to listen to your problems and concerns. UCF police are very kind but they take their jobs serious in order to ensure our campus is a safe environment.
College Senior 2013-05-08T21:05:43Z
Drugs are alcohol are not noticeable on campus. UCF has now passed a rule that alcohol is forbidden on campus. I have never witnessed any drug use nor alcohol use on campus. UCF police department is very strict about regulating these policies and following up on calls they receive related to drug and alcohol use. It is well known that our school forbids this and will take strict action if this rule is broken. This is why this problem is very small on our campus.
College Senior 2013-05-08T21:02:00Z
Living on campus is highly recommended for your first year at the university. The dorms are clean and the RA's make you feel like home. Living on campus is very convenient and you get to meet new people. Furthermore, freshmen are more involved on campus when they live on campus opposed to commuting. You also have more time to meet up with study groups and spend more time at the school library or join tutoring and supplemental instruction.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
