I am not a member of Greek life, so, I may be biased. However, Greek life parties a lot and has gotten in trouble for alcohol violations numerous times in the past few years. I have also heard rumors of hazing experiences. That being said, I know Greek life does a lot of charity work. But from an outsider's perspective, partying and physical appearance is what they worry about.

Food for Every Taste – There are many places to choose from on campus. From fast food to sit down grills, UCF has great variety and overall, delicious places to eat. The dining halls serve varied foods cooked fresh daily and there are great coffee places, desert places, restaurants, and even a grill with a full liquor bar.

Health & Safety:
UCF is quick to respond and takes safety very seriously. We have emergency communication services and a Police station right on campus.

For freshman, dorm living is great! It's super convenient, pretty nice, and housing puts on a lot of programs free for students. Each dorm location has something unique to offer.

Although the cost may be a little high, if you room with other people, the price decreases dramatically. You can pick anything from on-campus to off-campus housing. Apartments, houses, townhouses, lofts, studios, hotels, everything is open to the students of UCF.

The student involvement, team performance, fan support, school spirit, athletic facilities are all above superb. The students show their support by participating in Spirit Week- one of the most fun weeks in all of UCF!

If you go downtown, there are plenty of clubs for the people 21 and over. On campus, there are a lot of house parties held by your fellow students. If you are not into the party scene, there are movie nights and events held by UCF's Late Knights which consist of themed gathering both safe and fun.

Every professor is different, so I can't make a general evaluation the staff. I'm a Communication Sciences and Disorders major, and I am enjoying the program. The classes aren't too difficult, you just have to put in the time to study. Registration can be frustrating because classes fill up quickly, and it's tough to get the "perfect schedule."

There are a wide range of dorms on campus. The Towers are the nicest, with full-sized beds and individual rooms, a living room, a dishwasher, etc., but they are also the most expensive. Nike and Hercules are just as nice, but they have twin beds. The rest (Libra, Apollo, and Lake Claire) are not as nice, but still get the job done, and are closer to the buildings on campus.

The Greek life on campus is fun for those in it, but to everyone else, many of the Greeks are viewed as very annoying, but not all of them. A lot of them are involved in student government, so that's a plus.

UCF is strict about drugs and alcohol on campus. Drinking is more of an issue than drugs, but peer pressure usually isn't a factor.

The gym is great, the reflection pond is a beautiful place to relax/study, and "All Knight Study" is a great place to do homework.
College Senior 2013-03-30T16:40:20Z
The film and digital arts programs are top notch, the campus is beautiful, the gym is great, and the Towers area is really cool, because it has different shops and restaurants.

They offer a lot of different options for food, but the quality of the food worsens throughout the year. They only cook the fresh stuff at the beginning of the year to attract people to buy a meal plan if they're visiting the campus, and at the end when they want you to buy another meal plan.

There are people of all different races, religions, beliefs, hobbies, and everything you can imagine at UCF. Being such a large school, there is a place for everyone.

I think there are some really great professors, however, there are some professors that are absolutely horrible, or rather, some professors that don't understand outstanding situations (death of a parent, even) or some where you can do everything to get a grade you wanted, but still end up with less.
Regardless, the grand majority of professors are great, even if the workload is a lot, it's worth it overall.

Both of my two majors are very simple to get into, basically, you can just declare a major and that's it, it's like that for anyone involved in a humanities major, I would assume. I think it's more difficult for other majors, but I'm not sure as I've never ventured out of the humanities.

It's way too hot most of the time. It doesn't help if you're in or around the older buildings on campus because there's not a lot of shade. When it happens to be cold--very rarely--it often seems like some of the buildings, especially in the Business Administration building and the Engineering building are the same temperature as outside.
College Senior 2013-03-30T15:41:06Z
There is quite a variety of actual restaurants on campus. I wouldn't know so much about the actual dining halls but... there are plenty of options for buying lunch or snacks between classes at UCF.
College Junior 2013-03-30T14:14:53Z
The computer lab with the best computers always has a huge wait. If you want a computer instantly, there's more than enough in other labs, but those computers are pretty slow. So I suppose it's a trade off. Wifi connection for personal computers is hit or miss.

Right now I have not personally researched off campus housing. I am entering as a freshman and will living on campus. I hear from my friends that are attending UCF that they love living off campus and they did not have a problem finding a home, but I personally cannot rate it right now.

Guys & Girls:
There are all sorts of girls and guys at UCF. The population is nearly 65000 people. There has to be at least one special person out there. If it's not love you're looking for, then basically most people are friendly, though they may portray a bit of cockiness.
College Sophomore 2013-03-28T22:12:23Z
The nightlife is not for "students". It's for party animals. As for clubs, there are barely any clubs for under-18 students. However the nightlife is great for legal drinkers. More clubs. More parties. More insane lives. For the underage, like me, house parties are the best. Usually frat parties are better than the clubs. Better music, food, and most importantly free.
College Sophomore 2013-03-28T22:03:16Z
I received an amount that was quite low for an outstanding student. My FAFSA and financial aid forms were "lost" in the process. I live in Celebration. So to drive to the financial aid office every single time a mishap had occured was one, quite annoying, and two, a waste of time. In the end, I got my money.
College Junior 2013-03-28T03:29:55Z
Greek life is currently nonexistent due to all sororities and fraternities being put on temporary suspension due to allegations of hazing. Before the hazing incidents, Greek life didn't play that big of a deal on campus. I went to rush and got invites to a few fraternities, but decided that Greek Life isn't for me. While Frats go out to bars and hold their own parties, everybody can take part in just about everything a fraternities offer (other than the bonding trips you pay extra for).
Sorry, there are no reviews.
