UCF is a very innovative school. Just walking around the campus and admiring the great architecture just makes you proud to say that you attend that school.

I do not have a meal plan because I live in an apartment-style dorm, so I have my own kitchen. This kind of living is a great alternative to a meal plan, if you like to cook. But I have heard pretty decent reviews from friends about dining halls, and I've personally eaten at both of the on-campus dining halls, Market Place and Knightro's. They have really great deals that you can go in there and fill a box to-go, this way you can eat in the comfort of your room, or wherever you prefer. Like most college kids, they get sick of eating the same thing over and over, but I've heard UCF does a decent job at switching them up. There open until midnight and one every night, so that's very helpful for night owls!

Guys & Girls:
There is definitely a variation of both guys and girls at UCF, especially considering we are the second largest University in the nation. I would say the frat and soriety's are about half the students here, Greek Life is very important to them, but if your like me, and Greek Life isn't your thing, you'll be just fine and still have the oppurtunity to meet so many people. I would say Orlando is kind of a big rave scene and a lot of clubs downtown are targeted towards this audience. Most guys and girls that attend UCF seem to be pretty fit, and we have a beaitful gym, so that helps!

The dorms are a great option for incoming freshmen, although the variety in style is lacking. I was happy to live on campus once I knew where all of my classes were, and the accessibility of on campus utilities were well within reach.

I'm doing Computer Science while its among one of the more popular programs. There are alot of questions left unanswered you have to talk to advisers (which seems obvious but registration deadlines sneak up if your not watching out) They have everything planned out so when you register for summer course you can also register for fall.

There are plenty of fast food in the area but as well as chain restaurants and privately owned ones as well. Personally i've only been to 7 out of the 20-30 restuarants and fast food places in the area. I plan to go to all of them at some point.

There are people of many races among faculty and students. Diversity is something i see often. You really cant take more then 5 feet before meeting someone of a different race, gender or religion. It's a very interesting place to go to.

Orlando is a very large city with a lot of fun activities to do in your spare time. There is Universal, Disney, Sea World, a variety of other fun options. The local atmosphere is very welcoming and the university is like a town within a town, it is very inviting while very easy to navigate. Plus, many places offer discounts to students.

I have only received Florida Bright Futures so I am not too familiar with Florida pre-paid. But my experience with Bright Futures has been very positive, no papers were lost and they were very helpful with any questions that I have had. On the financial aid website, there is a list of a variety of scholarship options, which is very helpful in getting through college debt free.

The weather in Florida is always crazy. One day it can be cold and rainy and the very next day it will be warm and sunny. You never can tell.

The UCF campus offers many restaurants, but there are not alot of places where you can use your meal plan. The two buffet style dining halls have a very limited variety and some of the food is not fresh daily.

I feel like the University of Central Florida is its own little city. There are fast food places to eat, gyms to work out in, tons of activities going on and it's huge! The education program is great and I have thoroughly enjoyed the courses I have taken so far.

The student life here at UCF is awesome! There is always something going on. I am on the softball team and our facility is fantastic! Spirit Splash is a huge event during homecoming week where everyone can go into the Reflection Pond/fountain at once. This is the only time of year anyone can ever go in it so tons of people always show up.

I got a decent amount of financial aid and I am pleased with how smooth it went. The only problem I had was that everyone was receiving their money and I had to wait a few weeks longer to get mine.

Guys & Girls:
You will find a large range of guys and girls at the University of Central Florida. I have all kinds of students in my classes; there are some student-athletes who wear athletic gear all the time, sorority and fraternity students who are always supporting their organizations, and the other students who express themselves in many different ways. The baseball players are the cutest around here from my perspective.

I am not a member of Greek life, so, I may be biased. However, Greek life parties a lot and has gotten in trouble for alcohol violations numerous times in the past few years. I have also heard rumors of hazing experiences. That being said, I know Greek life does a lot of charity work. But from an outsider's perspective, partying and physical appearance is what they worry about.

Food for Every Taste – There are many places to choose from on campus. From fast food to sit down grills, UCF has great variety and overall, delicious places to eat. The dining halls serve varied foods cooked fresh daily and there are great coffee places, desert places, restaurants, and even a grill with a full liquor bar.

Health & Safety:
UCF is quick to respond and takes safety very seriously. We have emergency communication services and a Police station right on campus.

For freshman, dorm living is great! It's super convenient, pretty nice, and housing puts on a lot of programs free for students. Each dorm location has something unique to offer.

Although the cost may be a little high, if you room with other people, the price decreases dramatically. You can pick anything from on-campus to off-campus housing. Apartments, houses, townhouses, lofts, studios, hotels, everything is open to the students of UCF.
College Sophomore 2013-03-30T17:29:06Z
The student involvement, team performance, fan support, school spirit, athletic facilities are all above superb. The students show their support by participating in Spirit Week- one of the most fun weeks in all of UCF!
College Sophomore 2013-03-30T17:25:36Z
If you go downtown, there are plenty of clubs for the people 21 and over. On campus, there are a lot of house parties held by your fellow students. If you are not into the party scene, there are movie nights and events held by UCF's Late Knights which consist of themed gathering both safe and fun.
College Senior 2013-03-30T17:03:33Z
Every professor is different, so I can't make a general evaluation the staff. I'm a Communication Sciences and Disorders major, and I am enjoying the program. The classes aren't too difficult, you just have to put in the time to study. Registration can be frustrating because classes fill up quickly, and it's tough to get the "perfect schedule."
College Senior 2013-03-30T16:59:03Z
There are a wide range of dorms on campus. The Towers are the nicest, with full-sized beds and individual rooms, a living room, a dishwasher, etc., but they are also the most expensive. Nike and Hercules are just as nice, but they have twin beds. The rest (Libra, Apollo, and Lake Claire) are not as nice, but still get the job done, and are closer to the buildings on campus.
College Senior 2013-03-30T16:55:04Z
The Greek life on campus is fun for those in it, but to everyone else, many of the Greeks are viewed as very annoying, but not all of them. A lot of them are involved in student government, so that's a plus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
