The Computer are basic but can do anything that you will need to do. Almost all of them are PC but there is a lab that has MAC. They are very quick and dependable.

Parking depends on how much you are willing to walk. I can always find a spot for class it just might be a little further than I was hoping. And try to schedule your classes in the morning or late afternoon/evening.

It is nice Florida sunshine year round!! It can get very hot in the summer but overall you will be satisfied with the weather.

There is a wide selection of off-campus housing. However, even though you are living 5 minutes from the school doesn't mean it will take you 5 minutes to get there. The traffic gets kind of bad and then there's parking. Depending on the time of day it will take you at least 15 minutes to find parking. But then there's shuttles, which is very convenient.
The cost is decent, not too high, not too low. You can find some pretty good deals.

I absolutely LOVE Orlando. It has so much to offer. It's just about knowing where the hot spots are. There are different websites and even a newspaper called Orlando Weekly that highlights the different events going on.
However, I would like to mention one con about Orlando. Everything is very spread out. You can survive without a car, but having one is very beneficial.
Oh and of course Orlando has it's fishy areas, but what city doesn't?

The financial aid process at UCF is not that bad. I've dealt with the office a few times. Although, they were always quick, they've always answered any questions I've had. So, not the best, but decent enough.

The School is overall nice but I did not receive any type of financial aid.

The Business program at UCF is pretty simple and straightforward. I plan on becoming a manager of a biomedical facility.

There are tons of computer labs on campus that are available 24/7. However, most printers only print in black and white and the wifi has connectivity issues.

I'm Not Sure – Since I live off campus, I spend of my free at home studying and exercising so I hardly know what the Greek social scene is like at my campus.

If you have classes in the morning, you better come early. However, as the day goes on, the parking situation becomes lenient.

I'm not sure specifically for scholarships, but I know anytime I've gone to the financial aid office, they have been very rude. They are just very short with you and not helpful at all. I know from personal experience that paying for college is very difficult but I would suggest any outside help from websites or the community. I find it very difficult to find scholarships available through the college itself, especially if you family is middle, or even low-middle income. If you're family makes more than thirty grand a year, it's very hard to get any federal assistance.

there is nice bar in downtown and there are free buses to go there at weekend

there are several spots that not far away from school and they provide decent Japanese food and Vietnamese food. Also there are nice restaurants to have whole food and special sandwiches. But the else are just the common fast food chains. However, non of these places will have discount to us students.

The one I live in (Sterling) is garbage! They now have new management because they only had a 30% renewal average which says a lot. They are dirty and your packages never get to you in time. I put A because U-House is amazing and so is Orion on Orpington. Best things about all off campus housing is the shuttle that brings you too and from school so you don't have to go through the hassle of finding a parking spot.

I received a good amount of financial aid and I've applied for scholarship after scholarship and I haven't received on from my school yet.

Some of the organizations on campus really try to promote game day and they give away free things if you also try to help promote the games!

I haven't taken many classes for my major yet, but so far I really enjoy it.

Guys & Girls:
A lot of my fellow students use a bicycle, long board, or skateboard to get around the university. I guess it is easier to commute on this large campus. Our student body seems to take interest in theme parks seeing how there are a few in our area. Concerts and parties in general are also a popular past time. There are a lot of students interested in fitness so you will often find them running or working out between classes.

Living on campus is convenient but not always cheap. Being on campus it is easy to be invited to partys, workshops, and events. So it is easy to make connections not only socially, but also academically. Living on campus is the best opportunity for networking.

I am a Transfer student so I am new to the campus and don't know much about the Greek Life just yet. But what I have heard so far is that they through a few parties and events, and some former members enjoyed the elements of brother or sisterhood. Although I don't know much about the Greek influence I still manage to see them get involved in a lot of things on campus.

UCF has a very strict drug policy. Smoking on campus in public is frowned upon by the students. Doesn't necessarily mean that they don't do it themselves on their free time. Drinking is the most popular activity on campus and highly tolerated by UCF. If a student has had too much to drink at a bar or somewhere else on campus, there is contact information on the back of the student id that has a number for the campus taxi that will come by free of charge to pick you up in an effort to prevent drunk driving.

Plenty of off-campus housing communities to choose from. The only downside is cost. Orlando is a money sucking city, so cost comes with the territory. Overall, safety is average. Can't account for every idiot that decides to do something stupid. High population unfortunately calls for high chance of meeting an expendable member of society. Attractions and lifestyle is great around off and on campus housing. Plenty of malls and restaurants to choose from. Along with Disney World and the beach close by, UCF is a prime location for activity.
College Sophomore 2013-02-07T01:31:09Z
UCF is one of the most diverse schools in the nation because of its vast size as a campus. Second overall in the nation considering campus size. There are numerous organizations that target specific racial groups, sexual orientations, and political parties. Each organization holds events to further a cause. However, the location of UCF does attract some of the preppy kids, which comes with judgmental students. Much like any other campus. Whether we would like to admit it or not, we all judge people at some time or another.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
