Availability and Speed – The computers are available at several locations and are very easy to locate and acccess. Computers also have relatively good speed. If you have your own computer, it is a plus, but if you don't, it is very easy to find one to use.

There are many options and varieties of ethnicity food that range from fast food to sit-down dinning. They're all within 10 minutes or less from UCF, and their are different options from buffets, vegan, and student restaurants, etc. as well.

Greek life is moderately sized for a campus as large as UCF but it definitely does not take over the social scene. There is no major push to have everyone in a frat or sorority, even during rush weeks in the fall and spring. You are also not judged for being involved or choosing not to be involved. This is a large enough school where there is a group for everybody!

Because UCF is still pretty new (50 years old) we are still trying to establish ourselves in the world of sports. As far as football for this past season, we were 10-4 and are ranked 16th in the nation with the most alumni on active NFL playoff rosters! I think those are pretty good stats!
College Sophomore 2013-01-14T03:32:41Z
The dorms at UCF are not the best, but they are pretty good compared to those I have see at other colleges. The newest ones are Nike/Hercules/Neptune (opening Fall 2013). But I would say the most social dorms are Libra and Apollo if you are looking for an environment where everyone hangs out with each other, doing frequent movie/video game nights or just run around outside tossing a frisbee at midnight! People who live in those dorms say that where they lack in "nice-ness" they make up for in the bonding that goes on. And, by the way, these are all freshmen dorms.

Health & Safety:
UCF police is really good at it's job. They offer SEPS which is something that you can call and will drive you to your car if it's dark and you feel unsafe walking. We also have a service where you can register your stuff (like electronics) for free with the police department so if it ever gets stolen, they can find it right away.
College Sophomore 2013-01-12T23:30:22Z
The only thing UCF is really strict on is Academic Integrity, everything else seems to be pretty lenient. Just do your own work and don't cheat and you'll be fine. The cops are pretty cool about the drinking as well, just be responsible. Oh, but watch where you park because you WILL get a ticket, but don't worry tooo much because they're easy to dispute.

It's pretty hot on some days, but most days its very nice weather. Occasional rain makes walking across our wide open campus sometimes annoying but other than that it's good. It can get cold here as well but if you're from any where outside of florida, it will probably feel good.

I have not had one professor who wasn't helpful and great at their job. The offer many classes and have many openings. The education program, specifically, is very welly done and is a great experience, especially if you get the opportunity to be apart of STEP.

Greek Life is prominent on our campus but you don't feel forced to join. They're very nice people and are very helpful if thats what interests you. If you want to be active on campus and make friends quickly, its the way to go. Everyone I know in a sorority has always benefited from it.

It is easy enough to get into the Accounting major, once you give it a little work. You have to finish your general education classes and a list of classes to be admitted to the College of Business Administration and from there you are welcome to any of the Business majors.

I'm in the College of Business Administration and I've been very happy with it so far. As an Accounting major, I have experienced many professors who are willing to help students outside of class time. The class will be big in the beginning but quickly narrow down once you are past the general classes.

In Florida it is always sunny! It's nice to hang out by the pool and also there are lots of things to do outside on campus. The warm weather is great for kayaking or paddle boarding on Lake Claire, and beach volleyball on the sand courts. It does rain however in the Spring, but usually for a few days and then it's back to sunshine!
College Sophomore 2013-01-11T04:42:01Z
Lots of kids do it, but you don't always see it
College Sophomore 2013-01-10T20:13:11Z
There is tons of stuff to do around UCF and a lot of it you don't have to be 21 years old. There are multiple bars, clubs, and sports bars that everyone can go hang out and have fun at. UCF offers bus transportation and on certain nights the party bus will take you downtown and pick you up so you can go to the bars down there as well.

Guys & Girls:
There's a variety of people at UCF. Everyone seems friendly, but everyone is in their own world. One thing I noticed is that girls dress very provocative, which is inappropriate since students should be focusing in their future career, not focusing on a fashion show or who wears the least amount of clothing.

In Orlando there are thunder and lightning storms constantly and when that happens the roads get crowded and unsafe. When I travel to school during a thunderstorm is very dangerous. I think the school should take consideration of these storms and postpone classes when these storms arise.

It's alot more convenient to have a car AND a skateboard/longboard. Parking is hard to find almost all the time. But once you find it, you don't want to leave it. So take a skateboard/longboard/bike to get from class to class once you're there. Arrive to school at least 25-30 minutes before your class to get a decent parking. The first few weeks of each semester are the worst time for parking so get there even earlier. In some parking garages there are no back-in parking, so be cautious for that in order to not receive a ticket.
The Parking permits come out a lot cheaper if you buy the annual(year) permit opposed to buying a new each semester.

Guys & Girls:
There's so much variety and diversity at UCF. You'll find sorority girls, fraternity boys, country girls/boy, city girls/boys, religious girls/boys, etc. Depending on what one looks for, they're all seemingly attractive. Each person is unique in their own way so it's never an issue to build a friendship/relationship with any girl or guy on campus.

Guys & Girls:
The guys are Awesome. There are preps, jocks, emo's, skaters, surfers, future politicians, and a plethora of guys. Most of them go to the gym 4-5 days a week, so they walk around shirtless or with sleeveless tops. The girls are cool. Most of them take the dance class's at the gym so they are pretty toned. They love to party and will throw on a pair of pumps in a heartbeat.

Health & Safety:
I feel extremely safe on this campus. There are always students walking around, so the school never feels deserted. So early morning jogs are perfectly safe. At many forks are emergency buttons to press when you need help. The school also offers after hours police escorts, free of charge.

Parking is horrible. If you have to move your car for anything, expect to either find a very far parking spot or just wait in your car for hours.
Recent Alumnus 2013-01-09T14:27:45Z
It's far from places like Disney but there are a lot of shopping plazas around campus. Not too much to do outside of campus regarding social life.

Living in central florida is the best of both worlds. It's warm and not too far from the beaches all year round. Plus there are tons of attractions and things to do on your days off you'll never get bored!
College Junior 2013-01-08T21:49:03Z
I like my major and the school itself. It's not very big at least no my campus. Plus I get to take some pretty interesting courses that specialize in my field of study.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
