Guys & Girls:
Everyone is so friendly. Not to mention, since I come from a cow town, that there are so many attractive faces. Being physically fit is a huge part of UCF culture, and I always see people running/jogging along the road and the gym is always pretty full.

Their is always something to do on campus thanks to the great amenities UCF offers. Everyone is friendly and the campus is very large so it can offer you alot.

Public transportation is really good around UCF. They have buses running all the time.

Guys & Girls:
You can find all types of people. UCF is the second largest university in USA. Lot of good looking people.

UCF is very diverse, and its governing bodies are well on their way towards making sure policies reflect that. For example, just recently as a result of student dedication, gender identity was added to the list of protected classes in the school's anti-discrimination policy.

Greek life has really been dead lately. There are not many events, and there is not a huge turn out lately. There are parties still, but the rules and regulations that the school mandates truly discourages much fun.

A huge college town. Lots of football fun, and school spirit. There are lots of clubs, restaurants, and theme parks not too far. It is truly an amazing experience living in Orlando.

Health & Safety:
At UCF they have plenty of ways to let students feel safe, mostly through, in my opinion, the use of the campus police department.

As far as curriculum goes at UCF, I'd say its pretty fair. Most of the professors I've had are great and fun, there are a lot of classes offered for all majors, including very exciting electives. The work in the classes can be a little annoying and sometimes a little overwhelming, but if you work diligently, it will be no problem at all.

Sadly with my current major, my university seems to either care very little, or they have no idea how to help aid students in this degree program. The courses seem to be scrambled and some of the professors just come off as lazy and uncaring. I wish it could be better.

Athletics is a huge part of the culture at UCF. There is tremendous support for our student athletes by fellow students, falculty and staff. Our student athletes have access to great trainers and training facilities.

There is excellent diversity at the University of Central Florida. With such a large student body there are many students with different backgrounds, beliefs, religions, and ethnicities. It's so great knowing you're in a place where you can learn not only from your professors, but from the students around you.

The College is located in Orlando, Florida near Disney, Universal Studios and many more fun theme parks. Nearby, Valencia College, awarded 2012 best community college in the nation, has a direct-connect program with UCF and has UCF regional classes available in all of there campuses. There are many apartments for students who are not local residents located within minutes from the campus. The campus itself has multiple food places to eat located on campus and outside of campus. In addition, there are shops, bookstores and lounge areas all within walking distance. There are multiple parking garages and parking areas available for convenience for getting around to the multiple classes located around the huge campus. Located within the college is an arena that holds multiple kinds of concerts, plays, and shows and at times there are discounted tickets sold to UCF students!

Most of the parking is quite far from the classrooms. It is advisable to get there at least 30 - 45 minutes before your class to make sure you get a spot. You might be in for a bit of a walk.

The campus is great, but I have run into a few issues. There aren't enough study spots for large study groups, especially during midterms and finals. Another problem is that the school seems to put most of its funds into the Engineering program. They don't have enough professors in the Game Design program, so almost all my core classes are available only once a year.

Our police force is pretty strict about everything. Whenever there is an emergency, a text is sent out to all students about what is going on and how they can avoid it. Drinking and drug abuse is a serious offense and they won't think twice about searching dorm rooms for kegs.
College Sophomore 2013-01-03T23:20:14Z
The freshman dorms are okay. They're not spectacular unless you have enough money to live in the saint claire apartments. But if you're like me and you live in the nike or hercules community, then the living space is a little cramped. The cost is pretty good and the atmosphere is quiet where I live. Although I have been in the hercules dorms and the social atmosphere seems more friendly there.

the computers are okay at UCF. The printing on campus is great but the availability varies between how many people are there. My experience is that I can get in, print, and get out in about fifteen minutes. The computers in the computer labs can be pretty slow and the wireless access is extremely slow. The school claims they're working on the wifi activity but it's easier to just use an ethernet cable in your dorm room.

UCF is in orlando, meaning that it's close to Disney World and Universal Studios. It's also near orlando's famous outlets, and malls (Millenia Mall and Florida Mall). There's also the Amway Center, where NBA basketball games and famous concerts occur. Many restaurants and stores around campus are college-student friendly providing us with student discounts!

Nightlife is very popular here. There are walking distance bars that are 18-and-older. There are house parties going on every weekend, and most are free of charge which is a plus. There is always downtown, where the clubs are at. There are a few that are 21 or older, but most are 18-and-older. There is this program called Evolve Group, which promotes famous DJs in downtown orlando clubs. It's famous at UCF because it provides a bus that picks you up on campus, takes you to the club, and brings you back for only $10. Best transportation to get around at night!

Our campus is a Smoke-Free Campus. Drugs aren't visibly seen often, but it still occurs. Drinking is more popular amongs the students.
College Sophomore 2013-01-03T21:03:47Z
Wide variety of apartments for rent and student/affiliated housing no more than 5 mins away from campus.

Great newly constructed gym with everything you could ever need; including a track, basketball/ volleyball courts, beach volleyball courts, and free fitness classes. Huge student union with delicious restaurants. Huge library with great study spaces and private rooms.
