Guys & Girls:
At times I have thought I was at a community college due to some of the students I see here. More often that naught people will say they came to college for fun, and do not care for their education beyond staying eligible for the grants to maintain their ability to stay in school.

As an accounting major I feel secure in finding a job in the near future, though I do find the 700 person classes for Financial Accounting, a class Business Majors must take irritating. These large classes force us to take exams in manners that are not conducive to Accounting, which causes me undue strain. As I can manage the books, which is the core of the job, but multiple choice questions are painful due to the nature of the career.

For my acceptance into the Accounting program I simply have to change my status on the myucf according to the representatives. This will send an alert t the department, which will ensure I have all C's and above in my business courses, and unless there is a problem, I will be in the program.

At the University of Central Florida the classes are few, and are all very large, double in size of what they were in Spring 2012 in comparison to Fall 2012. After my enrollment into my Spring 2013 courses I am looking at 4 700 person classes, with a max of 200 people in the class and the rest having to watch from their online stream.

Guys & Girls:
I love the students here at school. Everyone dresses how they feel, they portray who they are, and don't care what others think. Many walk without shoes because they have the opinion that they don't like shoes and that shows just how independent and amazing they are. Also everyone i've encountered in this school have been fairly nice, and welcoming.

The Universities dining hall has great food but it becomes repetitive which causes it to be not pleasant.

I love the fact that UCF has so many locations where students can utilize a computer, and usually there is always somewhere to study and do work.

Its a much a needed service and is actually very convenient to move around such a large campus and area.

UCF is a great school that works hard to keep it's students safe and entertained, but if you do not have a car it may get boring.

Whenever i go to the financial aid office it's normally no longer than a 30 minute wait for the entire process which to me is great service.

The scholarships were very specific and did not apply to me.

UCF has done a great job upgrading computer centers. There are more students than computers though, and the internet can be slow and troublesome. We are just an overcrowded school. Printing is available and very useful. The wait time and access can be a hassle but I think the school is aware and looking for improvements.

If I were to stop with just a molecular biology bachelors degree I think I would have a hard time finding not only a job, but anything I enjoyed. I enjoy the curriculum because I know it is helping prepare me for medical school. I plan to apply for medical this cycle and finding a job should be much easier after that. But I have to thank the program and its directors the being a stepping stone and helping me ultimately reach my goal.

I love my program. It is very useful in preparing me for a career in medicine and some of the teachers are outstanding. I have enjoyed almost all of my classes. It is very challenging and designed for hard working students. A note about the program though is that it is designed for you to continue your studies. If you plan on stopping your education at a bachelors degree you will most likely not benefit from the program because it offers no certificates for careers jobs. Microbiology is a field some can get in to, but a master or PhD will help and of course one can continue with a career in research or medicine after the program. Very happy to have the opportunity to learn so much and think it helps preparing me for mcat questions and critical thinking

I did an internship with the political science department with the world trade center of orlando and found it to be pointless. I learned almost nothing and was not compensated for my work. The department tried to help, but I have received a B.A. in political science and feel I am in no way prepared for the field. There is a career services department that tries to set you up with internships and coops, however it is very limited to business availability or certain majors and I have found it almost helpless to 75% of students that applied.

It is very easy to get into Molecular and Microbiology program. In fact, just declaring the major allows you in. However, the classes are challenging and if you do not do well there is a chance you will not be able to participate. There is really no application process, however, I feel there has been no help or guidance since I have been in the program. The counselors and main office have done a horrible job and the best advice always came straight from my professor, even about class scheduling. The program curriculum is preparative for further studies and I would recommend it, but you have to set a goal and have a support group because it is most likely M&M counseling department will provide little to no guildance.

Nursing is not easy. I have not started the actual program yet but the pre-req's can be rough. They are difficult and because the nursing program is highly competitive it is imperative to do well. It is a lot of work, that being said, thus far, despite the stressful all-nighters I do very much enjoy my major, what I learn, and learning to apply it in a clinical setting.

Most majors, as far as I know, as long as you complete the required classes you can earn your degree (make sure you visit your advisors OFTEN and check your degree audit yourself, advising isn't a strong point at UCF). Just be sure to get good grades because I've had several friends fights for spots in required upper level classes, where the professors are scarce. However, my major, nursing, requires you to take 2 years of prerequisites, and then apply to the college of nursing which is very competitive and not easy to get into (especially if you are not on top of your advising.)

Health & Safety:
Crime is overall low, you hear about the occassional break in a car in the parking lot, however I do not think it is any worse than any other campus. You consistently see police patrolling campus and it is very well lit at night. There are emergency poles everywhere. I have never questioned my safety on campus.

UCF has a beautiful and growing campus. The gym is huge and gorgeous, however if you don't live on campus, it can be a pain to get to as the parking garage near it is always full. Everyone knows UCF for the reflection pond, which is so relaxing to sit next to and study, well kept. The union is full of helpful resources, as well as a food court.

The printing lab is great; students get 100 free pages per week, and the process is relatively painless.

I get to campus early enough to where I always get a great spot. However, on off days, parking is horrendous.

The library and the medical center are great. They're advanced and the staff is always helpful.

The printing lab is excellent to print out last minute papers and you can get one free scantron per day.
