Guys & Girls:
My first week here i was completely baffled by how it was possible that so many attractive guys could live in one place. Now i notice them less but it's still really impressive. ;)

The beginning of the semester it would start out really sunny and then rain at some point every day so you always had to have your umbrella on you. Now it's usually sunny everyday but it's starting to get chilly. And yes it does get cold here. Overall the weather is great and the skies are always beautiful.

I have the 14 a week meal plan and it's enough for me. the options are overpriced though. I usually sleep through breakfast and only eat lunch and dinner but i always keep snacks in my room. The food at the dining hall isn't my mom's cooking of course but I like it. They have a good variety of different types of food. The unlimited is suggested but not really necessary unless you plan on never buying food to keep in your dorm. Not many people I know have this.

Greek life is really big at UCF. If you're not Greek, it's harder to meet people

Health & Safety:
UCF has a lot of safety signs and buttons set up all around campus.

I have received a decent amount of financial adid from UCF that has helped supplement my bright future and Pell Grant.

The school is the largest school in the country and has many different races and religions.

I am not apart of Greek life. I am unsure how to answer this. I work with a lot of girls that love it and life for their greek life. A great way to make life long friends.

Make sure you do your fasfa and scholarships on time!

There's tons of stuff to do around the Universal side of town. City walk, bars, close to downtown and all the parks. Not sure how nightlife is around campus.

There are multiple dining hall located around campus for those with a meal plan. I personally never got one of those, so I'm not sure how the food is. There are different dinning options in the Student Union including: Subway, Sbarro, BK Whopper Bar, Cafe Corner, Asian Chao, Quadoba, and Wackadoo's. There are also other dinning places spread through campus like Chik-fil-a, Einstein Bagel Co., and a bunch by the arena and stadium!

I have applied for FASFA every year, but do not get any financial aid through them since my parents make enough money. Upon receiving my acceptance letter to UCF I was granted the Pegasus Scholarship, which means that I get $1,000 at the beginning of every semester (except Summer semesters since they are not required). I have never had trouble speaking to the financial aid officers, but would recommend going to see them in person.

We are in Orlando, so there is absolutely everything you could possibly want. There's Downtown Disney, CityWalk, and Downtown Orlando. Underage students can go hang out in Citywalk although cant get into the clubs and the same goes for Downtown Disney.

The off campus affiliated campus is an absolute rip off. They're good enough to provide a roof over your head, but the rent they charge is beyond ridiculous. You're better off getting a traditional apartment with roommates, or even better, look for houses to rent with friends or roommates.

To me there were very few traditions at UCF, and our football team isn't exactly something to get excited about and some of the buildings are very old. However, our gym is AMAZING, I wish it was open 24/7 though.

The anthropology department is amazing. It is really the only department I can speak to though.

Guys & Girls:
You find a lot of the "I'm only here because mommy and daddy threatened to cut me off if I didn't go to college" type here. There is a distinct air of rich and spoiled surrounding a lot of the students at UCF- do not get me wrong, I made some really good friends that are really good people, but they are largely few and far in between. Most of the people I met were lazy and shallow, good for a one stand, not so good for any sort f meaningful friendship or relationship.

It was super easy and most of it is done online, which makes it very accessible.
College Sophomore 2012-11-07T20:56:38Z
sometimes the weather can be pretty bipolar in this area, but as long as you carry around a small umbrella with you, you are normally good to go.
College Sophomore 2012-11-07T20:55:19Z
There are so many apartment complexs around UCF. Any entrance you go out of you will see at least three different ones. They are usually extremely nice and are a lot cheaper than on campus housing.
College Sophomore 2012-11-07T20:35:59Z
It is very involved on campus but depending which one you join will depend on the type of reputation you get. Not everyone is in a frat or sorority, but joining one will show you an insight to different things on and off campus.

An average grade was given because even though underage drinking is not allowed, young adults our age are going to find a way to get alcohol regardless of the set rules. I believe this is the norm for any school.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
