Tons of places to live off campus, lots of apartments at different price points (farther from campus = cheaper) but also a ton of great houses everywhere which I think is a better, cheaper alternative to a house.

The food taste/quality is so-so, but honestly there can be good days. There are two on campus dining halls, one closes around 8pm and the other is open till midnight and they open early so no problems there. And if one place has bad food (there are bad days too) you can try the other one.

Sports are getting more popular since the building of the Football stadium.

UCF is a very diverse place! I've met all sorts of people here of different races and sexual preference. There are all sorts of clubs on campus to bring different people together as well as clubs for each race or religion to come together with others of that race/religion. I've made friends from India, China, Latin America, Spain, and Iowa already. There's such a large student body that it's easy to have many different people. However, it does not feel like a large percentage of our school is made up of one type of religion/race/sexual preference/political belief.

Health & Safety:
Obviously being in Orlando, the safety won't ever be perfect. However, the police number is printed on the back of everyone's ID card and there are call stations all over campus. I like knowing I can easily call the police if I feel uncomfortable. What I like even more is that I haven't had to call the police. I feel safe walking all over the campus, even when it gets late. I'm a pretty jumpy person, so being somewhere I felt safe was a big deal to me. And there are some crimes, but more or less it's because someone wasn't being smart. Just remember to keep doors locked and be aware of your surroundings. But that's something you need to do everywhere.

I live on another campus and they make it easy to feel apart of the ucf main campus community with busses to the campus and services available off campus

It was relatively simple I just filled out the application, had my transcripts sent, sent for the recommendations, and got a copy my immunization records. That was it.

Waterford Lakes is pretty awesome there's a lot shopping and restaurants. State road 50 has many areas to shop and eat.

You should definitely stay on campus your first year here. I would've literally never met 3/4 of the people that I know now had I not been lived on campus. It's just so convenient having all your friends accessible to you at all hours of the day. When compared to friends of mine who stayed off campus their first year, they probably know about 1/5 of the amount of people I do. LIBRA's the best by the way, in case you needed influence. It may be a little dingy, but proximity and social it's definitely the best choice.

Health & Safety:
I personally never felt unsafe staying on campus; however I could see how the argument that it is unsafe could be made. While staying in Libra Seminole hall last year, it was common knowledge that the main entrance could have its lock easily broken if pulled with enough force. A psycho rapist could have easily strolled right up to room door. But I believe they've implemented a stronger lock since last year. But honestly you have no reason to be scared. UCF police is always out patrolling at night. And if anything were to happen there are emergency contact buttons scattered around campus that are pretty accessible.

Guys & Girls:
With a surplus of almost 60,000 students, there's literally someone for everyone at this school. Whether you're in a Fraternity/ Sorority or a total hipster , Preppy or Geeky, Gay straight or bi, you're pretty much guaranteed to find someone who's compatible with you. At the very least you'll definitely find someone who's down to hook up. Also, UCF is big on diversity, and for good reason. Everyone where you go you can find people who you are able to relate to.

I live in Knight's Circle which is UCF affiliated off campus housing. We have a shuttle here that takes us to and from campus and it is wonderful. The wait time for the shuttle at the complex is never more than 10 to 15 minutes and there is always a shuttle waiting at the bus stop on campus. The shuttle times also run approximately from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and even run on Saturdays when there are events. It is a great service to the students.

The University of Central Florida is the second largest school in the entire nation. It has roughly 60,000 students and have so many programs and clubs and opportunities that i never even knew existed. There are many events for the students such as the Pegasus Palooza that keep students entertained and encourage student involvement.

I have never been harassed by anybody in authority in the school. To the best of my knowledge all the rules are enforced fairly. I do know there are the basic rules of any campus such as alcohol rules and of course no drugs. You also have a time frame to be at a parking spot with no permit other than parking at major buildings. Enforcement is lenient but fair and can be strict when needed to be.

I came to the University of Central Florida because it is close to home and has a reputable business program. The classes so far have been informative and straight forward. The teachers are good at what they do and have been very helpful. It was a very easy registration process. It did take a while before i heard back from this school but it was well worth the wait. I am a very satisfied student.

In central florida there are a lot of random showers, the campus is always prepared for storms coming and has many sheltered areas to help stay dry and many parking garages to park your car and it is sheltered and dry during a storm. If there is a threatening storm that the school must be closed UCF is very good at sending out emails and even texts to students to make them aware of such changes.

UCF has strict school policies on academic misconduct, and it is a zero-tolerance issue.

Athletics in my school is average. The school spirit and fan support is very good. Many people attend the games and go with the school colors to show support. On the other hand many don't care and just go to tailgate and do not even go in to watch the games. The teams are average they are not horrible but they are not the best either. They are not bad but definitely have room to improve

I am currently attending the College of Business Administration at the University of Central Florida. It is my first semester here at UCF and so far it has been a positive experience for me. The class workload is adequate, not to much not so little. The teachers really know the material and explain it quite well. The building itself is well kept and simple. One of the simpler looking colleges in this university, but it is still attractive nonetheless. For jobs and internships there is an office to the left as soon as you walk in the building which is very helpful; although i have not participated in an internship program i know of many who have and have been helped by the Office of Experiential Learning. Something very unique to my program is the cornerstone class which was added on to give business majors hands on experience with team work and problem solving along with important concepts that apply to the business world. Overall i am satisfied with my experience here at UCF as a business major the program is very enriching.

Outgoing and Active – I love UCF. The actual campus is beautiful and brand new. It has everything you could possibly need. Hair salon, all kinds of food, entertainment (one of the few colleges with a liquor bar in it :) Tons of sports (lap pool, HUG gym, Frisbee golf coarse, bike trail, rock climbing, canoe, surf, camping activities, and much more...) Due to the high # of activities at the school most people dress sporty and don't care much about fashion and clicks. Everyone is friendly and willing to help a lost freshman on the huge campus. Its a very safe school. I never feel uncomfortable walking to my car after a late night class. Everyone looks out for each other. Outside the campus there are always things going on every day and night. There are stores catered to the students with plenty of school spirit supplies and cheap shopping because they understand college students are broke! :) There are student discounts in every store near the school. Also, its in Orlando so their is always something to do with all the parks around. Some times they will close Universal studios for a day just for UCF students to enjoy!! So much fun. People are always all over campus studying so you will never be lonely :) I love UCF!

Health & Safety:
There are emergency telephones everywhere and there are always lights on the pathways, which help make walking around campus more safe and secure. There are also usually a large number of security patrols roaming the campus.

I never eat at the dining hall, but the places in the student union are great. As with any cafeteria, the food is going to get old after a while, but the overall variety at UCF is great.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
