Endless Opportunities – UCF is the largest school in Florida and I believe the second in the nation, so first of all you will meet plenty of people. Then, you can join an infinite amount of clubs from salsa to a theme park club. Speaking of theme parks, you have the country's largest theme park...Walt Disney World, and its competitors just 30 minutes away. There is a ton of things to do around campus and in the heart of Orlando.

This Is a Great Campus for Technology – One of my favorite things about UCF is that you can connect to the internet pretty much everywhere on campus. I choose to bring my own laptop to school, but if you don't have your own or choose not to bring yours, there are tons of computer labs available, and the library is full of computers for students to use! I find that I don't even need a printer in my apartment. The SGA Express Print Lap is free for students to use, up to 100 pages per week. The lab is usually very quick but be sure to allow yourself 20-30 minutes on busier times, particularly during the day and around finals week. They just started using wireless printing services there too to make it even more convenient!

So Many Places to Eat! UCF is ALL about food! There is somewhere to eat everywhere you look, accommodating every price range. Of course there are your typical fast food eateries, Zaxby's, McDonalds, Wendys, etc. But why not branch out a little? Try Hummus House, a great little pita place about two minutes from campus. It's healthy and the portions are great! Many pizza places around campus have Knight deals. Tenders is a popular place for chicken, as well as Huey Magoos. There is literally so much to eat you won't know where to try first!

The Most Diverse Student Body in the South – UCF is one of the most accepting schools around. The student body is incredibly diverse, with people of all ages, race, religion, and sexual orientation. I've never seen or heard of an instance where someone was a victim of a hate crime because of their race, sexual orientation, beliefs, or anything like that. I believe that there is a place for every type of person here, and that no one is ever singled out. With over 60,000 students, you can imagine that we are incredibly diverse in all ways here, and it is an absolutely wonderful environment to be in!

Although it's barely noticeable- this coupled with the fact that I do not hang out in sketchy areas- it's definitely still apparent that drugs are prevalent on campus. This is evident in anonymous surveys in criminal justice classes. Not even that but you can hear students gossiping about how "buzzed" they were at the party the night before. Drugs are an emerging form of entertainment and it seems like our generation will solidify that hypothesis the more kids and students experiment with it.

I think the weather has an adverse effect on student attendance in classes- not the work ethics but the attendance. Students tend to avoid going to class due to the extremities of the weather- the humidity is a huge turn off; Why get ready for school when you're gonna be drenched in sweat? More often than not, it seems like the treck there almost isn't worth the 40 or so minutes you are in class, especially when it's a class where attendance is not mandatory and you can still pass without taking notes from the powerpoint- especially when they're e-mailed to you anyway.

I have never lived on campus so it's hard to say but the off-campus housing is very accommodating. For example the close access to the gym and pool at The Pointe are very attractive incentives to reside there.

Fun and Entergetic – The professors in my program are well educated with a sincear interest in the students learning.

The classes are complex and challenging. The teachers are fair. The parking can be a nightmare

Fun in the Sun – There are several shopping locations on campus and around the Orlando area. We are so lucky to have all the theme parks right at your fingers tips.

Late Night Dinning – Great food location including Subway, Chick-fi-la and sit down locations. We have a wellness location that serves a health food option

Guys & Girls:
Tons of Diversity – There are tons of different guys and girls here! A little bit for everyone's preferences, not to mention the running club that circles the campus.

Good Rooms, but Porblematic Serivce – The housing program is somewhat easy to navigate and provides informative descriptions of the many options. The main problem I have with my dorm at the Towers at Knights Plaza is that there is an issue with one of the light switches in the common room and they have "repaired" it multiple times and it still doesn't work.
College Sophomore 2012-09-09T17:36:49Z
Great Computer Set-Up, Wi-Fi Not So Much – There are multiple areas to use the computers, computer labs, the library, the student union. All of them have direct internet access and updated microsoft office programs for assignments. The only downside is that the campus wi-fi is difficult to reach in some locations and impossible to find in the dorms.

They Are Okay – Though i am not very enthusiastic about sports, I find that our athletics win and lose sometimes. We don't win them all but we still brag.
College Senior 2012-09-09T13:02:00Z
They Are So Shady – The waste your time which is to be expected. Then when you find out that you filled out the wrong form they tell you that you have to wait 3 weeks for it to be filed. When you complain they hurry the process to keep you quiet.

It Is Very Hot – It is very hot here and it gets pretty cold during the winter months but not enough to snow

Fun Environment – I enjoyed living in the dorms. There is always someone to hang out with and you are forced to meet new people. Unfortunately, majority of the dorms are reserved for freshman so it is difficult to get a spot after your first year.

Cheating is not acceptable under any circumstances

UCF gives all of its students the opportunity to park a vehicle on campus. If you don't have that, though, there are many other options. Bicycles, shuttles from all of the local apartment complexes, etc just to name a few. Our regional campuses offer free shuttles and pick up locations on campus so students do not have to drive there, which is so convenient!
College Junior 2012-09-06T19:26:48Z
Orlando is a huge city, so putting UCF here was a great choice. There are so many local theme parks, and also plenty to do in a five mile radius of the campus itself. Dining is also very attracting around UCF, there are so many restaurants to choose from with your friends! We also are home to the Orlando Magic, so NBA games are in short distance! There are more than 3 local malls that have every store you can think of! I love UCF!
College Senior 2012-09-06T19:04:45Z
I Love It Here – Even though its a big school, surprisingly there haunt been a problem in flow of information or communication. There are all kinds of events for all kinds of people. The community is extremely diverse. Its tuition fees is not ridiculously high. The location is superb and the community is very friendly. Anyone would find it extremely easy to fit in here and call this place home. If i could do it all over again, i definitely would!
College Senior 2012-09-06T19:00:04Z
Sports Is Big Here – UCF is very much into sports and athletic encouragement and support. The entire university contributes to the school's athletic spirit. Football is big here. Depending on the day there is a match, classes can even get cancelled. UCF students are called Knights (a term everyone here is familiar with), and our mascot is a knight too!
College Senior 2012-09-06T18:56:25Z
Because UCF is located is possibly the best place, weather conditions are excellent. Even during hurricane season, students are taken care of in an organized manner and the worst that has happened could be excessive rain.
Other than that, all season round, florida has excellent weather conditions. Even during summer, contrary to popular belief, it isnt that humid or hot. Most of the time people stay indoors so there isnt much encounter with the sun anyways.
College Senior 2012-09-06T18:51:22Z
All Kinds of People – UCF is a huge university with a diverse range of students including international students from all over the world. In my first semester i met people from at least 10 different countries. Furthermore, Americans vary from across the states.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
