Very Diverse! UCF is the second biggest university in America, so it is expected to see a lot of different races around campus. Students from all sorts of different countries attend UCF. The diveristy is even shown in the proffesors and staff. Being that UCF is in Orlando Fl, one might assume that it is mostly Hispanics that go here. This is not true at all. I think UCF as a pleasnt mix of race, economic background, religion, and sexual orintation. Everyone is also free to express themselves and not being afraid to show your true self is very encouraged at this school through things like support groups, clubs, and events.

So Much to Do, So Little Time – The money we pay as students is never put to waste. There is so much available on campus, I don't know why anyone would leave! The gym offers racquetball and basketball courts, weight and cardio machines, a lap pool, a rock wall, and various group class, so there's something for everyone no matter how you like to get fit. The student union hosts many events each month, and also has rooms for club meetings. There are many places to get a bite to eat there as well, plus the computer lab, the office of student involvement, and the ticket booth, where you can get discount tickets to theme parks around Orlando. Last but not least, there are two amazing places to study. The library has five floors which get quieter the higher you go. So, you can have a silent study period on your own on the fifth floor, then join your friends on the second for a noisier group session. Also there's the All-Knight Study, which is open 24/7 and has different study areas to suit individual needs.

Everybody Can Get Involved – Varsity sports are a huge part of the school, Intramural sports are as well, anybody can join an IM team and have a blast.

A Lot of Intern Opportunities – I am in the college of business at UCF and intern opportunities are everywhere, professors are very willing to help.
College Junior 2012-09-06T00:42:33Z
Available Help – The professors have office hours for students multiple times a week and are readily available to help 95% of the time.

During the day parking is almost always full, make sure to get there earlier than 5 min before.

Fills Quickly in the Mornings – Be sure to be on campus at least 30 min before class

Never Saw Drugs – I personally never saw drugs on campus or nearby. Everybody drinks tho

Sports Need to Be More Popularized – The University of Central Florida is not known as a dominant sport driven school, but sometimes it would be nice to receive some credibility and support from perhaps local cable providers or the shopping centers other than ESPN reviewing UCF to another well rounded high ranked team a few days before play.

Golden Knights Suck – Ok I'm not going to suck up for the university and say that the are great, because they aren't that good. But the students enjoy going to the games, they are a lot of fun to go to with your friends and have a nice time.

UCF is very strict on their academic policies such as plagiarism and cheating. They are not afraid to have a student expelled is one is caught performing dishonest acts. Dishonesty is one of the 5 big codes of the university

So Far So Good – For me it has been great just because I was able attend the UCF campus that is very accommodating to me and where I live and I am still able to go to the main campus to enjoy the campus life there.

It's Good Enough – UCF campus life is cool and nice. The student union makes sure they are up to date with activities happening on campus and they are always coming up with creative events for us the students to enjoy.

Best of the Best – The University of Central Florida is a great school. It is well equipped to satisfy a wide range of majors and students. The campus life is very cool and the environment is lovely.

What more can I say? It's hot, rainy, and the campus is huge so you have to do a lot of walking. The weather will absolutely impact your experience at UCF
College Junior 2012-09-05T00:34:22Z
There are a LOT of available computer areas on campus. Three of them are in the Student Union alone, and are elsewhere on campus as well.

Alcohol is VERY visible around school- you can definitely see bottles and cans laying about. A lot of students smoke, as well.

Skip the Clubs – Nightlife is for students who are 21 or older. There are a few 18 and older clubs, but I say skip them. House parties are free, the music is better, and you don't have to pay for a cab back to campus.

You Can't Miss a Thing! UCF is never boring! The events are so much fun and the resources in school are very useful to get the education needed. There are so many food places and hang out spots to meet with new and old friends. Music Mondays, you pass through the Student Union and hear random people playing on the piano. Wednesdays are the days where all these free things are being handed out (everyone loves free stuff)! There are organizations always looking for more members and activities always being promoted on campus. At UCF, You just can't miss a thing!

Greek Life – As a member of a sorority on campus, it is not the most common thing to see drugs. Most of the time it is frowned upon by even their friends when partaking in drug use. Drinking is the substance of choice. Everyone is just looking to have a good time, and it is more socially acceptable to drink a beer with your friends than pop pills in the bathroom stall.

Guys & Girls:
South Florida – If you have ever been to the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area you will understand what I mean when I say UCF is full of South Florida kids. The boys are extremely tan, muscle bearing and good looking, and they know it too. The gym is where you can find them, and that is also where you can find the dozens of extremely tan, blonde and skinny girl flocking at anyone who walks by with a Fraternity bearing T-shirt. Yes, Greek Life runs the campus with the best looking people.

The Importance of Saving Gas – As notorious broke college students, my favorite part of attending the University of Central Florida would be their Knight Buses that pick you up right at your apartment complex. While my neighborhood is located only 6 minutes away, with hundreds of other students driving down the same busy road it takes me almost 15 minutes to reach campus. With the Knight Buses I can alleviate the stress of trying to weave in and out of traffic and save gas at the same time!
College Junior 2012-09-04T19:08:50Z
Not the Best – The parking garages are huge and far from a lot of classes. They are almost always completely full. Leave early before your class !

Been There, Seen It All – After transferring from a previous University in Florida, I can honestly stand back and give a non-bias review on my overall experience at the University of Central Florida. Yes, I can go on about how I enjoy the friendly professors and medium class sizes. However, it is the school pride and campus life that really make UCF stand out amongst the others. The lectures may be long, but you can easily seek help in the many advising opportunities UCF offers to students. The entire campus is there for you to help and offer a truly memorable college experience. One that I did not capture at the University I attended before coming to UCF.

Science Education for Biology – I'm in the college of education for science education-biology. A lot of the education classes, in my opinion, are easy and kind of common sense. I feel like you learn a lot of the same stuff in each different education class. The teachers for the education classes are normally pretty great, because they were all teachers at some other point in their life (they are not just college professors). Everyone says you learn the most when you do your internship. Since I am studying for science education- biology, I have to take a lot of science classes too. The science professors tend to not be the best teachers. They normally don't teach, they just read from a powerpoint. They are more concerned with their research than they are with their students understanding and passing the class. Sometimes you have to teach yourself the material. Also, they forget that the students don't know as much as them; they forget that we haven't been studying the topic for our whole lives.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
