Starting off as a Bio-Med major, I believe this course of study is the best as it encourages me to strive harder in my education. Each professor has strict guidelines but with a bit of humor. As each class progresses, I find myself wanting to study more. One professor in social science starts off each class with a quote. Either from a well known author or from a recent article. No matter what the quote is, it somehow fits in the session. His level of teaching thusfar has kept the entire class focused. That is the mark of an excellent instructor.

Internship Advantage to the Student – I have in place an internship with an oncologist after I complete my first semester. The time alloted for this will enhance my degree as having a first hand look at my chosen profession. Although I will not receive any payment, the education it will provide is priceless. I am currently a life-guard certified in first-aid and CPR.

I Am Certain That I Will Become a Medical Doctor. As a Bio-Med major and starting this summer at the University of Central Florida (UCF) I have become more adapt to college life. The structured enviroment of UCF and the class schedule has kept me on track. There are several professors who take their teaching seriously and for that I know I will keep my grades up. My goal for myself as well as my future is not to stray from the school class schedule and complete each year on time. Although there will be many obsticles, pushing forward will keep me focused throughout my educational studies.

Crowded Labs, but Worth It for Free Printing – There are a few computer labs located around the campus so it is easily accessible to student's wherever they are on campus. Usually, they are slightly crowded, but mostly it is the Student Government Association lab that is packed. That lab is the most crowded because they offer free printing up to 100 sides and color printing $0.25 per page. The network on campus is very reliable. Most of the students do have their own computers or tablets and the WiFi definitely makes them worth having, but if you don't it isn't a problem.

Health & Safety:
Many Resources – Campus has many resources and services to ensure safety. Some examples: if you are out late and feel unsafe walking back to your dorm, you may request a police escort. If you feel like you're in danger, you can find many emergency intercoms on campus. The health center on campus is also very helpful.

Strict Means Safety – Campus policies are very well publicized and enforced. These rules can only add to student safety and well being.

Opportunities Abound – UCF is surrounded by many tourist attractions as well as fantastic restaurants and clubs. Lots to do at all hours when you are not in school or studying. Beach is only 45 miles or so away (Cocoa Beach) as well!

Connected on Campus – Living on campus gives you easier access to the many on campus events. More convenient for study groups and such as well.

Being a Florida resident, I may have become accustomed to weather conditions that out of state students might find annoying. Weather here can change from sunny to rainy at any moment. Not very predictable. But manageable!

Total Hassle – My original estimate for financial aid was perfect, however two weeks into school just as tuition was due the University cut almost all of my aid and I am still in the process of sorting things out.

Orlando is a really cool city to go to school in. The University of Central Florida campus and the surrounding area is pretty self contained which gives it a college town atmosphere. However there are also a lot of other attractions in Orlando like Universal Studios and Disney which add a metropolitan atmosphere. In the end students get the best of both worlds.

Not Too Much – As I've stated, there really isn't too much to do in Palm Bay. There's bowling, golf, theaters, mall and parks. Everything is close in proximity which is awesome, however it's pretty lame.

Not too much happens in Florida, besides rain and of course, the classes are never cancelled due to a little rain.

The apartments are so expensive and everybody that I have talked to says there are plenty of problems with them from roaches to having their cars towed.
College Senior 2012-08-29T00:35:58Z
The parking on campus is horrible, for 60,000 students, most of which have their cars or are commuting. There need to be more parking garages. The school makes enough money to build more, so DO IT!

Eh, Greeks. Greeks are not looked at any differently than non greeks. Being a part of greek life does mean you help out in the community and you're always having activities. The greeks are known for their parties, but you don't necessarily need to be a greek to hear about it or be invited. Greeks are constantly hosting activities and events for the whole school to participate in.

Fair Enough! The campus strictness is strict enough to keep the students in line, but loose enough to not make the students feel like they're in jail. The campus will make every student take drug and alcohol courses, plus an unless theres consent course, but it's all to keep the students safe. The cops on campus are pains 100% of the time, so be careful when it comes to driving with anything you know is bad on you. Like always, if you know something you're doing is wrong, be discreet about it, other than that the consequences are fair, not too rough at all. Just be smart!
College Sophomore 2012-08-29T00:13:17Z
There are many garages, but there are so many students! It takes up to 20 minutes to find a not so good spot. I recommend getting a bike! By the time you find parking and walk to class you could of already gotten there on a bike alone. If you're going to park, leave 30 minutes before class.
College Senior 2012-08-28T21:54:41Z
There are always open computers in the library and throughout campus. Printing does cost money in the library, however you can print a certain amount of pages for free every week at the SGA office. The network is very reliable and the speed is usually pretty satisfactory, although the internet is sometimes slower due to so many other students online.

Theme Parks, Exciting Down Town, and Beach Fun! There are various kinds of fun to be had as a student at UCF. The beach is about 45 min. away and can be easily reached. There are 3 major and many other minor theme parks right in your city. There is a very large and exciting downtown Orlando scene that is ever new. No matter what kind of fun you are looking for, it is here!

Yummy Yummy – There is a huge variety of off campus dining and it will cover all your food desires. There are high end classy steakhouses, all the way down to the best hole-in- the wall joints!

Guys & Girls:
Modern Crew – Most of the students at the University of Central Florida have a modern vibe that is reflected in their dress, the music they like, the events they are interested in, and the overall feel on campus.
