House Parties Over Clubs – Most clubs you have to be 18 years old but most people go to house parties because its free and you have more fun in that home environment meeting more people than in a big club.

Shuttle Service Is Spectacular – No matter where you are, when you are there, or where you want to go, the UCF Shuttles are there. They can drive you from one side of campus to another, from your friend's apartment to the Student Union, or from your apartment to the Neighborhood Walmart. They run from 7am to 10pm so you never have to worry about walking home late at night. They even have Knight Lynx, which is totally free and drives you to all the night clubs in Downtown Orlando. Best transportation system I have ever seen, hands down!

Buses Is the Way to Go – If you don't have a vehicle buses are the way to go! They have many different routes and pick up stations. Their fees will beat gas prices and the time it takes to park your vehicle.
The bad part about buses, is they have set times of pick up and drop off therefore you must be at the right place at the right time. They sometimes have other stops before your destination. And they can get full at times.

Labs Are Okay but Bring Your Own Comp. Whether or not there are midterms or final exams, there are so many students at UCF that you will mostly likely be waiting for a computer. If you want to study with a friend, it is nearly impossible to find two computers next to each other. If you need to print, send an email to your self and then go to a printing lab to print. Or, you will be waiting to use a computer to print your document.
Besides, students eat all the time while on the computer, therefore I would use my own. You can always connect to wifi and the speed is okay unless it is midterms or finals when everybody is on.

Morning Is the Best!! You either have to get early classes or make sure you are there 30-45mins before your class because parking can get tough. It tends to become a game to see how fast you can get to an empty space. Sometimes you'll look like a creep following a person to their vehicle as they are leaving but that's the only way you might get a parking spot.

UCF is just your average university. They are always trying to make the school better for students by being under construction forever! They are building new buidlings and parking garages, which is very helpful for students who don't live on campus. They are also buidling up their satelite campuses around the central Florida area. They have recently stopped accepting visa as a form of payment at the school. So be carefull if this was a form of payment for you.

Great, Easy, and Fast! Although, I didn't get enough money from financial aid to cover all of my classes and books, it did help cut the cost of attending school. After doing my taxes, I logged on to Fafsa and completed my forms. Unfortunately they wanted a bit more information, so I had to take the time and travel to the school during the summer to finish the financial aid process.
Another thing I didn't like was that they decreased my award amount which made things a bit tougher. Now I am on the look out for scholarships that can help cover the difference.

So Much to Do – There are so many options at UCF. The gym is huge and offers a variety of things including classes. The library is very large also. The student union is the main hub and you can eat there, chill there, study there, and find new ways to get involved.

Buses Are Great – The transportation from the university to local apartments and plaza's is extremely convenient. They are very fast and efficient, a bus from a certain route being there every 15 minutes.

Summer Internship – I'm an Advertising and Public Relations major and I worked over the summer to acquire my internship credits. For my coursework, an internship is required to graduate, however, not all majors are required to do this. It is very reasonable, ranging from Marketing - which is about 20 hours per week - to Ad/PR which is only 9 hours per week. Either way, UCF has a great internship program to help you meet your next internship supervisor. It's called InternConnect. UCF directly connects employers with you and you can create your own easy-to-use profile and attach your resume to the InternConnect website for free!

Bar/Club Scene – UCF has so many local bars to choose from, all being renovated within the next year (2014). Downtown Orlando has its Wall Street Plaza which is less than 15 minutes from most UCF residences.

UCF provides always comfortable, always affordable transportation. Zipcar services are as low as $8 per hour and can be reserved for anywhere from 1 hour to a number of days. To be a member is just $35 per year and there are four Zipcars on campus ready to pick up!

All or Nothing! You either want to graduate or you don't! Simple as that! To get in my major you first have to complete and pass all general education courses and the prerequisites. You also have to pass all parts of the General Knowledge Test. Once all of that is completes, you must declare as an elementary major.

I Love the College of Education – As an education major, I have learned to have patience and always be creative. My major helps be build my communication skills and my leadership skills overall. The professors are very helpful and are willing to go the extra mile to making sure you are passing their class. In addition, the college of education allows their students to go out in the teaching fields and do a lot of observations and hands-on activities including field experience and internships. I have learned a lot after being a part of the college of education and I wouldn't trade it for no other major at UCF!

Hard to Get in Contact – The financial aid at UCF up to this point has been scarce in my opinion. I have had incredible difficulty even getting on the phone with anyone in the financial aid department.

Massive Student Population – UCF is an incredible school and an incredible atmosphere to attend school. We are growing by the minute and the opportunity to network and advance yourself and your career for post-graduate work and school is amazing. Not to mention with one of the largest student bodies there is no shortage of new friends.
