Punishment Are Moderate – They are straight foward and strict with their rules. If you break them, you will be punished and have to face the consequences.

Very Good – The University of Central Florida is on of the largest schools in the nation. On campus, the bathrooms, classrooms, and facilities are well maintained. I like the proximity of everything considering is such a large school.

Pretty Good – The environment is nice since the dinning halls were just made over but there's only two and the campus is pretty large so sometimes it can get crowded fast but the options are great, you got your healthy salad bar and your all you can eat pizza, its a hit or miss sometimes on the dishes but that's just personal preference for me.

Biology Department Is Fine With Exceptions – Being a biology major, my course load has been difficult at times. UCF is growing and becoming a very large school. I think they they need to expand their staff to make classes smaller.

Punishments Are Way Severe – Underage drinking is definitely not allowed, they also just made the campus a smoking free campus which is good and bad for some people. Also if you get caught cheating its very hard to recover from it because of all the punishments that follow.

Guys & Girls:
Guys Are...Fine – They guys at school are okay, it's mainly a computer engineering school so there's not a lot of physically fit guys but at least there intellectually stimulating.

Could Be Better – They just built a new garage which seems to help, but if you have a class in the middle of the day (peak time) arrive plently early to find a spot. The permits are expensive I think being $80 a semester.

I was a part of Greek life all 4 years in my undergraduate years. Now entering my last semester as a 5th senior now I am no longer an active member, because for most sorority chapters that lasts only 4 years. I will miss it and I got a lot out of it here at UCF. I lived in my sorority house for 2 years and enjoyed being a part the greek housing community. UCF is more strict compared to other schools such as UF or FSU, because we are still "new" and our alumni organizations are still growing. Not the biggest deal if you are not part of the Greek community, but it sure makes college a lot of fun. I would not be the lady I am today without being a member of my sorority.

Printing and Wireless Access – The printing is great. At the labs in the Student Union and the Knight Study you can print 100 pages/week doublesided. I never use my printer at home and it saves a lot of money not wasting money on all the lecture slides I print. Wireless access from laptops is good in some buildings and SO difficult in others.

Scholarship Advertising – I spent a lot of my Summer looking into Scholarships. I have not applied for many scholarships before. Sure they are on the financial aid website, but I found many when it was too late to apply for the Fall scholarships and it was only beginning of Summer! Best advice, research very early

UCF has a recycling program on campus that allows for "green" initiatives. The student union always hosts different activities for students to get involves. Campus events and traditions are extremely fun! UCF has a study center that opens 24 hours for students to study after hours. Campus life is never boring! There is always something to do.

The UCF Shuttles is convenient and free to UCF students. It is one of the best transportation needs on campus. It takes students to and from the campus with schedules that run all day.

Parking isn't great. It's some times a disaster to find a spot and even close to your building is another issue. Be sure to get to campus early enough to walk, because you will be walking far.

College Atmosphere – I don't know of any discounts given off campus. Most places are very student orienated and have a "college" atmosphere.

Great Fans! Great fans, great involvement and well known players.

Computer labs offered at UCF are plentiful and there is always a place you can sit and find a computer. If you should want to use your own computer in one of these areas(Library, Student Union, in your Classes) where you have to log onto the internet, the connection is terrible and in the end you, through all the hassle, you may not even get on the internet. Needs more WIFI availability for sure.

Abundance Abundance Abundance – UCF has so many different types of programs, clubs, and internships to join to gain knowledge, community service and experience in every way possible! Even if not a part of your plan or degree, you are always encouraged to try to join as many extracurriculars as possible. Expand your knowledge and really enhance your college experience in meeting new people and becoming more divergent in one of the most diverse schools in the country. Now is the time to join in on events and activities and take advantage of what is offered because you will never have experiences like these once you have graduated and wishing you would have been more involved.

Guys & Girls:
Everywhere You Look – At UCF the amount of attractive guys and girls are innumerable. Whether your type is athletic, frat, nerd, hipster, foreign, southern, a New Yorker, or a combination of any, they are all here. We have such a vast amount of people at this school that there are literally people from all over the world varying in skin tones, hair types, accents and religions. With all of this type of variety, it is not uncommon to see a hot guy riding along on his longboard to class, or seeing a cute girl walking to get some coffee from the union. Although people always have a place to be or are on the move, everyone seems to be more than approachable and hot, in every sense of the word.

Always Something – University of Central Florida's campus life is simply tremendous. The campus alone is always kept beautifully done, the facilities such as the library, reflecting pond and centrally located student union are all excellent places for grabbing some food, studying or a meet and greet hangout. With people always outside sunbathing by the reflection pond,or on the move to the fantastic gym or perhaps on their way to pick up some tasty food by(or inside) the Union. Between late knight events and athletic games and the thousands of clubs to join, you won't ever have to stop and think of something to do on campus.

Do It – I highly suggest doing an Internship. Networking is everything. It's not what you know, but who you know.

The staff that I have been fortunate to come into contact with have been very helpful and encouraging at my school, they are approachable and make you feel welcome and at ease, for this I very thankful.

Living and Parking – I enjoy living off campus because I can be a college student without having to live around the crazy college environment. As for the parking, it is difficult to find parking when trying to go to class and I find the cost for the parking decal overpriced.

Rosen School of Hospitality – This school is small and caters to the needs of the hospitality field. Since it is literally in the heart of Orlando, you have so many opportunities to start your career off and many times careers come to the school looking for you!

Be Mindful! I can remember visiting friends in their dorms and it being pretty strict. They smoked a couple times inside and the people noticed and gave them written warnings. Granted, it's pretty dumb to smoke inside but they aren't afraid to point it out and say something.
College Senior 2012-07-31T14:44:49Z
Rosen Campus – There are very few times that there aren't computers available here. Granted, we are a smaller campus, but I love studying and doing assignments in the library here.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
