Good, but Sometimes Slow or Crowded. On a regular day, you can easily find a computer that works well, but I have had a couple of experiences where the computer was just SO SO slow! When this happens, usually you can just move to another computer that works better, unless there are no other free ones. This may be the case during finals week, or in the library on a normal day. The library computers are ALWAYS completely taken. If you want a computer on campus, go to one of the two computer labs, or All Knight Study (located by the Arena).

Anything you want, you've got it. Orlando is full of great places to eat and theres always something new. many large food chain restaurants are located very close to campus such as chipotle, ale house, red lobster, and panera bread. these are just a few of the many places to eat off campus and the prices range.

I love UCF and am always spirited. We might not have the greatest of athletic teams but its enjoyable to attend and be apart of the UCF community.

The Greek Truth. Greek life is infamous for their parties and maybe even the "automatic group of friends." I personally don't find it all that exciting. I am a non-greek and everyone on campus gets along fine. They always have their stereotypes such as the tri-delts being referred to as the "slut house" when in reality it might not even be true. Greeks can live in their house or in a dorm. whatever they please.

Greek Is Great, but You're Not Dead If You're Not Greek. Greek life here at UCF is great and thriving. They ALWAYS have something going on and they are always being active in the school community. But to be an active student at UCF, you don't necessarily have to be in greek to have a good time. We are really close to downtown orlando where anyone and everyone can party. So yes, the greek life is awesome, but no, you don't have to be greek to have a great party life.

Don't Have to Go Far – Right down University blvd there are plenty of options from late night fast food to traditional chain and local college joints. You will never get bored with the options.

Lack of Tailgaiting Fun – For the most part things are lenient but rules are very strict for tailgating for football games because of a couple of issues in the past.

Fun but Challenging – Being a biomedical science major at UCF is tough, there are a lot of people trying to do the same thing as you. For example, research at UCF is difficult to get into because there aren't enough research programs to support the number of students who need to do research. Other than that there are many other clubs and organizations one can join to get help with regards to job opportunities.

It Is Amazing. I'm so happy I chose a school with such a large population. Coming from a highschool where everyone knows everyone and everyone is in your business to a hugely populated school was the best move ever. People are so nice and friendly and the campus is BEAUTIFUL. The reflection pond is by far my study spot, you can bring a blanket and study by the pond and it is gorgeous out. I also like the starbucks on campus; everyone needs that caffeine come exame time! There are also lots of parties and lot of clubs nearby in downtown but there are also lots of study and tutoring centers as well. At UCF you are able to mold into the person you chose to be.

They Are Tearing Down Our Best College Bars – Orlando provides all sorts of activities to do for 'knight' life. We have a plaza across the street that is unfortunately being torn down due to new apartments. However, once you reach a certain age those bars are gross and boring. Try heading downtown to get a mix of different crowds but remember you need to be 21 to go downtown. They are very strict with id's.

Green Campus – We are extremely progressive and noted around the country as being very green. Visit the arboretum if you like to pick your own vegetables and fruits. Each year we add something to our campus to lower energy cost and save the environment.

Bad Balance of Workload – The professors at UCF are great during office hours and always willing to help. Despite the fact that some professors are very helpful, their tests are just as ambiguous. It is difficult to take those tests during the time period given especially when the answers are all similar and it is near impossible to cancel choices out. Overall the courses are well designed and are aimed at helping students learn, but when the time for tests come the students cant display that knowledge when the test questions are so ambiguous.

I could never say anything bad about our gorgeous campus. We have one of the best gyms, football stadiums and all around great appeal when living here. I wish all of Orlando was like UCF.

The facilities at UCF are amazing. From the gym to the leisure pool to the library, UCF's "benefits" are superb. The gym has a rock climbing wall, the leisure pool has a beach entry and the library comes with 4 floors of computers and quiet places to study.

Overall Great Program – Everyone is going to have their flaws when it comes to their campus but I wouldn't change the experience that I was able to generate from UCF. Even if you have a garbage teacher there is always a means of getting around it and learning the material from someone who cares to teach you.

Teachers Have Job Fairs – Teachers have guest speakers that you can network with so you can get a better job.

Crowd Too Young – All the clubs let people under 18 in and they are allowed to drink. It's annoying to see 13 year olds drunk.

Guys & Girls:
Aesthetic People. The people at UCF are really pretty. I mean not Miami Dade pretty, but really pretty. Most of the girls are in greek life, same with all the hot boys. Greek is really big here. The best place to find someone super cute is in a club!

We Need to Hire Better Professors. I am not sure if it is the same all around the country but it seems at UCF in the engineering department there is a huge inconsistency with professors. There needs to be some sort of standards that all professors need to follow or closer regulation of what a professor should and should not do. For example, some teachers are great at presenting material and giving fair test within the allotted time, others are great at presenting material but when it comes to tests, they are absolutely horrible and a majority of the class fails and the professor must curve to save their butt. Why don't teachers aim to pass people or at least provide a fair chance? Why give homework that isn't on the test? Why not provide similar examples during class that will be on the test? Example homework problem (2+2=4) pretty easy right. Example test problem (please donate one arm to get an A). NOT FAIR!

House Parties Over Clubs – Most clubs you have to be 18 years old but most people go to house parties because its free and you have more fun in that home environment meeting more people than in a big club.

Shuttle Service Is Spectacular – No matter where you are, when you are there, or where you want to go, the UCF Shuttles are there. They can drive you from one side of campus to another, from your friend's apartment to the Student Union, or from your apartment to the Neighborhood Walmart. They run from 7am to 10pm so you never have to worry about walking home late at night. They even have Knight Lynx, which is totally free and drives you to all the night clubs in Downtown Orlando. Best transportation system I have ever seen, hands down!
Sorry, there are no reviews.
