Work Hard, Play Hard – Like any other University, you can't just coast and expect to get by. UCF has earned a reputation for having very difficult undergraduate classes, and it is well deserved. The classes are difficult, but all one needs to do well is focus on education rather than social experiences. The area and campus are outstanding for college students and the school has many programs to help students succeed. Overall UCF is a fantastic school and place to be as a student.

Okay Experiences – Off-campus apartments near UCF are reasonably affordable on a college/scholarship budget and almost always available. Every complex is willing to help you look for a roommate, which is sincerely generous. There's accessible transportation from almost anywhere and nearby food and attractions. Decent parking depends on the apartment, but I've never had bad luck with that.

Financial aid needs to do better communication in getting in touch with students.
College Junior 2012-07-02T13:29:58Z
Process Was Long and Hard to Keep up With – I received a good amount of aid from the school, but a few times I had to turn in multiple copies of something because it was lost. They were helpful most of the time though, telling me exactly what I need to resubmit and how to do so properly. I would suggest really keeping up with your to do list as far as aid goes.

Bad at Sports – not the best atheletic programs but still fun to watch

D grades or lower will cause you to be on academic probation if in sports.

UCF's logo is that UCF stands for opportunity. It's a little cheesy, but I've been offered so many opportunities by going to this school. Because of my great experience as an undergrad, I chose to remain here for my Master's degree, and the job opportunities have been wonderful for me (even while I'm still in grad. school). This is huge considering the current job market and how most of my friends from other schools haven't been as lucky & had to move back home.
The school has progressively gotten better during my time here, and should be a top ranked school within the upcoming years. We've received national attention both for our size and recent achievements. I have both good and bad memories here, but the good outweigh the bad by far.
Would definitely recommend this university!!!

Shuttles Are Great, Parking Isn't – There are shuttles for off-campus housing as well as on-campus shuttles at UCF. My advise: use them! Any student, faculty, staff, etc. who buys a parking permit (which is $$) can park on campus. There are more cars than spots, so parking is a nightmare! This is a huge problem here. However the shuttles are a great feature so I gave it a C.

Health & Safety:
Never Had a Problem With Safety – I've never felt unsafe on campus, whether it's day or night. The campus is well-lit, and there is a free Student Escort Patrol Service (SEPS) that will drive you from one part of campus to the other if you don't want to walk alone.
College Senior 2012-06-30T23:44:18Z
A Little Above Average – The school is a strict no drug use school. With that being said they do not drug test you but if you are caught with contraband you can face serious consequences.

To be honest this campus is predominately white and for more information i suggest checking UCF.edu for the previous years enrollment history.

Overall the registration is simple and very easy to do. workload depends on your Major. The are MANY study areas to use the 4 story library or the Student union are the two most popular.

Above Average – University house is a brand new building and pretty upscale. Knights Circle is Brand new restructure (it was gutted and rebuilt). The lofts is upscale but has a possible black mold problem. And the rest of the apartments are average and reasonable price. I have seen as low at 450 to 675 a month for a 4/4. Sign early for the best deals.

The Curriculum workload is pretty heavy and transfer students aren't really given too much wiggle room for time. They are organized and strict which is a plus.

Guys & Girls:
Average Distribution – Campus is mostly caucasian, preppy, there are all types of people though. Decent amount of cute guys all around, lots of pretty girls. White girls have a lot of ass in Orlando.

Being in the heart of Central Florida, it's hot most of the year, but gets pretty cold in the winter compared to South Florida. Summers are filled with rainy days, it's impossible to go a week without rain. Hurricanes happen, its florida.

UCF is a wet campus, so they do allow and serve alcohol on campus. The only time you will really see alcohol on campus (other than restaurants that serve it) is during tailgating, which students take very seriously. Police do patrol tailgating and are strict at enforcing the drinking age. There have been a couple of drug busts, but campus pd is pretty good about that. People use weed and never get caught, but such is life. Campus has recently instated a no smoking policy.

Best Dorms I've Seen in Florida – Among Florida State universities UCF has the best dorming options. There are apartment style options that include individual bedrooms and kitchens and living rooms, usually with a shared bathroom. But an option for your own bathroom exists as well. There are also traditional style dorms that usually have a bathroom shared between two rooms. No communal or floor bathrooms/showers. Co Ed dorm buildings. All dorms have central air (some at schools like UF do not have air conditioning, and require window units). Amenities are all included in the price of housing, no overages. Roommate matching is practically non existent, but they will reassign you if you complain enough. Security in dorms is pretty great, need a key to enter any actual room, some buildings need a key to get inside. All doors lock on their own upon closing so you won't "forget" to lock it. Visitation is never a problem, guests don't need to sign in or anything, people can spend the night as long as your roommate doesn't have a problem with it.

Strict but Not Overbearing – The campus has rules about many things from hazing to drinking, smoking and etc on campus. They are enforced but nothing too serious. These things obviously still happen, as they do at most schools. There is an extremely strict plagiarism/ academic dishonesty policy and UCF will not compromise on kicking students out. Professors take this very seriously too, so your chances are slim in sliding by if you are the person that likes to plagiarize.

The dining at school is very good but if one is looking to expand their options there isn't a huge selection outside of your meal plan. The places to eat that are on campus are a good selection but there is not a huge variety.

Fun People – The people on my campus seem very fun and friendly, like they could just chill with everyone. I look forward to hangout with some of them!

There is no specific look and every single person is interested in different things, so everyone is able to find someone that they can relate to and becomes friends with.

Relatively Easy/ – The process of getting into my Elementary Education Major was very easy. They told me what i had to do and told me where to do them at. They also helped us get the things we needed in order if we needed help.
