Extremely Diverse – No matter where you turn, what nook or cranny you look in, everyday life involves a huge diversity amongst students. You'll find various religions, various religious organizations, and political organizations. You will also see the variety of races and cultures represented at the school, multitudes of different races, attitudes, and actions represent the school.

Health & Safety:
Pretty Safe – With the exception of a few warnings throughout the school year about crime either on campus or just off campus, the campus police department seems to do a pretty good job of protecting the students as well as preventing crimes from happening. There have been however stories about not so distant past events which do show the flaws of the police department. However, despite all of hateful things which some students may say, I believe that the police department does an excellent job of protecting all the students equally.

Just Starting Here – I'm just starting at UCF and I love it. Huge Campus, lots to do.

Best of Both Worlds – During summer and part of Fall it is HOT HOT HOT! But when it gets towards winter it can get pretty cold, but nothing that is not livable! When it gets back towards Spring it is hot during the day but nice at night.

Pretty Easy – Being a psychology major, I am in the College of Sciences. There are no special requirements to be in the College of Sciences. Although some other Colleges require special admissions.

My major is biology and i was accepted into the learn program. this program provides me with 2 mentors, one of which will be showing me where my classes are, the Sunday before school starts.I have the opportunity to start research early and through the program i am provided with the tools that i need to succeed.

Students That Walk. i don't have a car and thus i must walk from class to class. UCF has the second largest campus in the united states, so walking miles from class to class in bad weather is unbearable. Luckily, Florida is mostly sunny!

Guys & Girls:
Mild Racism – As an African american student, I have to say i felt a bit awkward at the freshman orientation. there were three white students next to me playing hang man. The first word was black, second word was "nigga", third word was jail.
College Sophomore 2012-06-18T21:40:39Z
Academic Help Works – I really admire programs like LEARN and EXCEL that push students to meet other intelligent students that will have a good influence on them. Also the writing center and free tutoring are there to ensure that students are successful!

Alcohol Is a Drug Too – Every party you go you, you will find alcohol. Its easy to buy and within a college students budget. Many students talk about games of Beer pong and getting wasted for fun.

Orlando Sentinel Sports Reporting Institute – I worked alongside professional sports journalists covering the local scene and reported on events such as the NBA summer league. I had no pay, but it was completely worth it for the experience. The time commitment was brutal. But, again, it was worth it.

Being a Part of Something. Through the course of one's collegiate career, he/she constantly strives to become a piece of a puzzle. Because there are so many puzzles (both good and bad) available to join in on in the college scene, I am beyond glad that I found the Broadcast Journalism group. My peers are both friendly and competative, my instructors are easy to approach and helpful, and my advisor has my best interests at heart.
College Sophomore 2012-06-18T18:58:21Z
Not Too Difficult – In order to acquire entrance into the Radio-Television Broadcast Journalism program in the School of Communications, one must maintain between a 3.2 and a 3.5 GPA during their first semester of school, and then apply. There are no other requirements, so, as long as you keep your face firmly planted in your College Algebra book, you will be perfectly fine.

Broadcast Is the Way to Journal – Because of the rapidly changing face of public media, it has become difficult to share information with the general population while managing to capture their attention simultaneously. That is why broadcast journalism is such a useful degree. Not only are the classes clearly useful in the career field, but they help associate the transforming world with changes in technology that are neccessary to reach it.

Better Than Valencia – I would chose UCF over again if I had to because it is way better than my first college Valencia. At Valencia college the staff is mean and unhelpful and with UCF I do not have this problem. Even their staff has a different attitude towards their job. It is also a choice I would make again because I feel like the advisers help me out a lot therefore I am way less stressed about my classes for the semester.
College Junior 2012-06-17T22:21:32Z
This Varies a Lot – It varies a lot to say whether or not there are a lot of things to do outside of the campus because if one goes to Valencia Osceola for UCF there is basically nothing to do off or near by the campus. The main campus offers shopping and events on campus but it is not so safe off campus. The attitude towards local students remains the same to non students, everyone is equal.
College Junior 2012-06-17T22:17:58Z
On Time Help – Like I said before in my last review the people working at UCF are always there to help whether it be to or if one makes an appointment, I usually never have to go back and ford to get my answer. The adviser's warn how much workload comes with each class and if it it smart to take such a class especially if one is working.
College Junior 2012-06-17T22:15:57Z
Advisor Helps Well – All the advisers at school help well if I need a class or a lift from taking a class they help. They also suggest how much I should work at my job and what a manageable amount of classes are to take and work at the same time based on my degree. There are a lot of classes open at different campus's like Valencia now, and this allows me to stay a little closer to home as well.

Pretty Easy – Getting in the College of Health and Public Administration is pretty easy and a simple process because you don't need to send in a separate application to the school or program when you applied into the university. The only difficulty I had was that because I am a transfer student, not all of my transcripts were received when I need to apply for certain classes.

Health & Safety:
Everywhere on UCF, you'll find brochures and fliers about where you can get help if you need it. The health center is huge and there are many health services are provided to students free of charge. There is also a pharmacy where students are able to get prescriptions filled and pick up whatever they might need. Campus Security provides escort services for those who don't want to walk around campus alone after dark, they are always helpful and nice, as well as stringent about what behaviors they will and won't accept. I always feel safe on campus.

Guys & Girls:
People Present Themselves Well. Everyone on campus always presents themselves with dignity and class. UCF has got a very diverse population and has many clubs where you can meet new people with similar interests to you. There, also, appears to be no shortage of attractive men on campus.
Recent Alumnus 2012-06-15T22:00:08Z
Very Diverse – With over 60,000 students on attending, diversity is a must! UCF has peope from all over the country, even the world.
Recent Alumnus 2012-06-15T21:54:21Z
Fun Experience – My school has over 400 volunteer clubs and one of their main focuses is to get students involved! They have their own clinics, dentistry, counseling program, and much more to help students be safe both physically and emotionally. At least once a month, students all get together for what is called Late Knights; it provides a different atmosphere with a movie, free food, games etc. It is awsome!
Recent Alumnus 2012-06-15T21:50:01Z
Very Good Atmosphere – The administration is strict on the safety and health of students, but it is a good strict. The health clinic provides different procedures that can be done for free and also cleanings when needed. A major issue that they are strict about are drinking and drugs on campus, which can lead to legal issues. They want everyone on campus to have the best experience at their college.. GO Knights!

Health & Safety:
Completely Safe – With a late-night shuttle system on campus, free transportation to and from communities around campus, and its own police station on the grounds, UCF fosters a mindset of safety and well being. Although there have been incidents in the surrounding area, they are always handled quickly and efficiently, and the campus safety alert system promptly notifies all students of any potentially dangerous situations. Personally, I have no problems or concerns walking around on campus even at night.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
