The greek life in UCF is not very dominant. Apart from your typical group of brothers wearing their Fraternity's shirts, you really don't interact much with the greek life. There are a couple of houses on campus though, but not many and they're plenty of distance away from classroom buildings

Guys & Girls:
You Have to Literally Look for the Ugly Girls – When you walk through UCF's campus, the first thing most guys notice is the fluency of pretty girls that surround the halls. When you walk into a big class, you will literally have to look for the ugly girls.

Guys & Girls:
All Is Nice - Inside and Out – Like most of urban Florida, the population is diverse and attractive. Due to the diverse population, no group outweighs another. Thus, no one is made fun of, and everyone is accepted. Conversation is easy and both the guys and girls display polite attitudes.

Although the Greek culture at UCF is limited by the school's short history, more senior schools around Florida, such as the University of Florida and Florida State University, have contributed to the expansion of UCF's Greek life. In Florida, many high school friends, who have succeeded to different universities and joined fellow fraternity and sorority chapters, stay in constant communication. This allows for numerous activities to benefit both the students and community on campus and around the state. This is especially true for athletic events and cook-offs to benefit various charities.

Health & Safety:
As Pleasing as Disney World – Overall, the feeling around UCF is safe and calm. As in any highly-populated university, there is always some crime. That is why campus and municipal police forces are present. Having the police forces at your convenience provides a safe feel. With little to no disturbance, the appeasing architecture shaping the campus creates a calming demeanor as a frequent student or inhabitant.

It Can Only Get Better – An on-campus football stadium was just built for one of the top-five populated campuses in the country. That large population contributes to hundreds of sport clubs involving graduate and undergraduate students around campus. Having decent weather all year long allows for numerous land and water activities surrounding the Orlando area. On campus, the relatively new recreational facilities receive participation from much of the student body, facility, and staff Residing near Orlando, the most innovative city in America, the facilities as a whole for the University of Central Florida can only get better.

The Recreation and Wellness Center (Gym) – The gym at UCF is awesome. It is a huge facility with a variety and abundance of different machines. Some of these include treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, the arc, stair stepper, weights and other weight machines. Many machines have TVs attached where you can plug in headphones. There is also a lap pool, racquetball and basketball courts, ping pong, an indoor track, etc. Classes are offered daily which include, but are not limited to, ab classes, yoga, upper body workout and lower body workout. Only complaint is that on the most crowded days/times you may have to wait for certain machines (i.e. ellipticals, weights).

Affordable and Good location – UCF is not the most elite school but for a state university it holds its own. The academics is not that great if thats what your looking for. A lot of the classes are not that hard to pass if you at least try. I consider myself an average not so smart student and managed to get B's and A's in most of my classes.
I never bothered to join any clubs or go to the football games so I cant spea for the social atmosphere but from what I hear its like any social experience youd find elsewhere. The location of the school is great because its in a major city that is not too far from many attractions/malls/beaches.
Some negatives would be safety. There are a lot of breaking into cars and stealing of bikes. Also the parking is really bad but if you leave early enough not horrible. The school can seem crowded and suffocating at times with all the people and the campus being so small.
Overall though,UCF is not bad but not amazing either. If you need a school to get into that is extremely affordable and in a good location than Id recommend this one.

Tons of Stuff – There is a shopping center by the school. It has diferent shopping and food places to go to. Also, each years there is a fair that takes place at the shopping center. As well as, people can go to Disney seeing that UCF is located in Orlando, Florida.

The librarian is very nice and helpful with anything. There is even a cafe places on the second floor to stop by and grab something to get if one gets hugery during a study session. One can even rent a room to study in a group in a much quiter place.

Nightlife, it seems to be good. The Professors are nice and helpful when one needs any help. The UCF library is amazing, its huge and different floors where one can study. There are a lot of things going on around the campus, from people giving blood to people raising money for charity. Being at UCF for a year has been a great experience to me so far.

Buses Everywhere – There are so many stations for buses at UCF. All of the UCF buses are free to get to campus locations and apartment complexes. The Linx bus system is also great and convenient with a transfer station right on campus.

Guys & Girls:
There are a lot of different people here at UCF. There is somebody for everyone. To be honest a lot of the girls are hot though.

In order for me to get to main campus from Rosen College of Hospitality I have to either drive myself or take a bus. The bus takes almost an hour to get back and forth and is often late. There is also only certain times it runs. I have not been here for football season, but I hope the transportation will be better then so I do not have to drive 40 minutes to go to a football game, I'd rather use the free transportation.

Hospitality Management – I love my major. I am so glad I chose to do what I am doing. It is very easy and I love people. This major is perfect for me and I am very happy in the industry. I cannot wait to learn more about the different opportunities.

Hospitality Management – Being a hospitality management student I have to have 3 internships and they make it easy to find one, but it is very hard to get an internship if you do not have any experience in the hospitality industry. They send out a listserv of opportunities, so jump on all the ones you can.

The campus itself has a wonderful energy;there's also quiet places to be found if it all gets to be too much. Also, the school provides transportation to downtown orlando in the form of busses and cabs(I can't remember what the cabs are called, but you can get up to $30 free fare a month). You never really run out of things to do or places to go.

Popular Options – Depending on were you go on campus, you'll come across Seattle's Best,Joffrey's Coffee(amazing cappuccinos), Einstein Bros Bagels,Chik Fil A, Starbucks,Burger King, Sbarro,Asian Chao, and a few others. There's also a pita place, and Marketplce/Knightro's are where you can use your meal plan swipes. There's also places to find everything from froyo to sushi.

Perks of Honors College – Regular UCF students have 100 pages free printed per week, and computer labs are mostly available--only occasionally crowded. However, Honors students at UCF enjoy free unlimited printing and an Honors-only computer lab where you can almost always find a spot. Personally, I brought my laptop to campus because I like the security of knowing I always have access when I need it, but if you don't already own a laptop you don't need to buy one specifically for attending UCF.

Nice but Expensive – The dorms are pretty nice, especially the Towers Communites(I live in Towers III as an Honors College student), but I feel that the dorm prices are a bit expensive. Most people shy away from Towers III because it's the only dorm that requires you to sign a longer lease (Fall,Spring, and Summer C terms) but I'm planning on taking lots of summer classes so I made the leap and chose Towers. I love it here, all in all :)

Health & Safety:
I feel pretty safe at UCF. I always see the campus police on campus and if anything major happens we are notified through email about things that happen on and off campus and in the email we are not only told how to be safe but are also asked for our help if anything suspicious is come upon.
College Senior 2012-06-09T16:28:16Z
Melting Pot – UCF is really diverse, you can find so many groups to be apart of and even if you just want to learn about that group it's ok because everybody is really embracing and they welcome you with open arms. To sum it all up thier's no way to feel better at home away from home than UCF. GO KNIGHTS!!!
