Getting Better – Parking at UCF is getting better. A few years ago it was a nightmare and could be stressful. Now, with the addition of new parking garages, the burden has lifted some. It's not perfect but it's certainly better.

East Orlando has apartments of all shapes and sizes. Some are very nice with modern interior and various amenities. Others, on the other hand, are outdated and could use a good remodeling. The sad part is that many of these places that are considerable rundown, and sometimes not safe, cost a substantial amount of money. Of course, if you want the nicer, upper-class apartment complexes, you will pay double. It seems the only place that is up-scale and affordable are the government run complexes that accept only families with a low low income.

Local Attitude Toward Students – People are very friendly and helpful toward the students. Many businesses and restaurants offer dicounts and deals. I have never witnessed an issue between students and locals, nor have I heard any negative comments.

I do not part. I have heard some good things though.

Numbers Vs Reality – According to statistics UCF is predominantly white and you can definitely see that when you walk around and go to class. However, it's not like you don't see a lot of minorities because it is a very large school.

there are a lot of white students at ucf but an effort is made to celebrate diversity through many different programs.

Students from All Walks of Life – Here at UCF there are several different large ethnic groups and all are very well connected with each other. They organize several events and collaborate on many successful things throughout the semesters.

Mainly Good Sports Programs but Could Use Improvement! The sports programs at UCF are relatively good and student involvement is quite high! The caliber of certain teams could however be improved.

Living off campus tends to be a bit pricey, but many of the complexes have very good amenities and include utilities in the rent. Many also have a shuttle to campus so commuting isn't difficult.

Variety and Quality – As expected from university dining, it can be a bit pricey, but all of the dining on campus has high quality. There are many places to choose from and no matter where you go on campus there will always be somewhere near to grab some food at.

Guys & Girls:
At UCF you can find guy/girl you want there. For guys there are muscle heads to frat boys to ravers. For girls there are the sorority sisters, the crazy party girls, the work out fanatics and the girls who want to read a book or watch a movie then go out and drink. There is a population of over 50,000 at UCF so you can find anytype of person you want, just gotta look for them.

The computer labs fill up quick but are very handy. You get to print 20 pages, front and back, a day for free. They opened another computer lab with Macs. The internet connection isn't really reliable and there is no wireless in the dorm. Having your own computer is a good idea and but the printing labs are reliable as long as you plan ahead.

Curriculm Helps Better Prepare You – I'm a Forensic Science major and I'm excited about the learning going on. My professors base questions on our specific major and not just generalize it, that way we see how it relates to us more. If you can talk to your professor they will set up a meeting or contact the local police for you, where then your able to have an intership and really see whats going on up close.

Great University – UCF is an amazing university and I've had unforgettable experiences here. Going to the football games and what we call spirit splash, where once a year we can jump into our school pond, is one memory I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. I wouldn't change my choice of going to UCF at all.

This may not be accurate for others, but for me UCF has a lot of diversity. I love it. You will see different cultures advertising their club and teaching you about it at the cultural fair. I got a henna tattoo and my name written in Arabic by the Islam club. Personally, I know people of many different ethnic, social and economic background. There are always tables for people of different political beliefs, sexual orientation and religious beliefs. Like every other school, we do have a free speech lawn and people are allowed to say what they want, even if it offends you. This has its pros and cons.
College Junior 2012-05-17T23:09:43Z
It Depends – When it comes to underage drinking the campus can either be extremely strict or not strict at all. If you are caught with alcohol in your dorm they will let you off with a warning but if you get caught at a tailgate you will most likely get a written arrest.

Coming from a Bias Opinion – I think greek life is amazing at UCF. It has helped me to succeed with my grades and many of my friends help me to understand concepts I wouldn't understand if they weren't explained to me. Non-Greeks at our school, just like at any other school, most likely frown upon us and think that all we do is party. As for housing there are 7 sorority houses on campus and 4 fraternity houses on campus.

Very Diverse – Our school has many different types of personalities.

It's great and convenient. You are right by where on campus events are happening and no doubt will get free food eventually. There always seems to be people doing things around. You can walk to class and get there on time. I've had bad roommate experiences but you just gotta be willing to get through it. I've had really awesome roommate. You can try and get your own room but as a freshmen, this is rare. I would recommend Academic Village. Towers are most expensive and farthest away from everything.

Health & Safety:
There's always security hanging around. I personally feel safe, make sure you lock your car though just for precaution.

Guys & Girls:
A Little of Everything – At UCF you'll find a little bit of everything. The hot guys and the not so hot. The same goes for the girls. It depends on what you are looking for, there are a lot of great bodies (guy wise) so if you're into that the gym is the place to be.

Getting Better – There is a lot of school spirit, and the games are a huge occasion. We have great facilities for both varsity and intramural sports. There's always something going on within these as well.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
