This may not be accurate for others, but for me UCF has a lot of diversity. I love it. You will see different cultures advertising their club and teaching you about it at the cultural fair. I got a henna tattoo and my name written in Arabic by the Islam club. Personally, I know people of many different ethnic, social and economic background. There are always tables for people of different political beliefs, sexual orientation and religious beliefs. Like every other school, we do have a free speech lawn and people are allowed to say what they want, even if it offends you. This has its pros and cons.

It Depends – When it comes to underage drinking the campus can either be extremely strict or not strict at all. If you are caught with alcohol in your dorm they will let you off with a warning but if you get caught at a tailgate you will most likely get a written arrest.

Coming from a Bias Opinion – I think greek life is amazing at UCF. It has helped me to succeed with my grades and many of my friends help me to understand concepts I wouldn't understand if they weren't explained to me. Non-Greeks at our school, just like at any other school, most likely frown upon us and think that all we do is party. As for housing there are 7 sorority houses on campus and 4 fraternity houses on campus.

Very Diverse – Our school has many different types of personalities.

It's great and convenient. You are right by where on campus events are happening and no doubt will get free food eventually. There always seems to be people doing things around. You can walk to class and get there on time. I've had bad roommate experiences but you just gotta be willing to get through it. I've had really awesome roommate. You can try and get your own room but as a freshmen, this is rare. I would recommend Academic Village. Towers are most expensive and farthest away from everything.

Health & Safety:
There's always security hanging around. I personally feel safe, make sure you lock your car though just for precaution.

Guys & Girls:
A Little of Everything – At UCF you'll find a little bit of everything. The hot guys and the not so hot. The same goes for the girls. It depends on what you are looking for, there are a lot of great bodies (guy wise) so if you're into that the gym is the place to be.

Getting Better – There is a lot of school spirit, and the games are a huge occasion. We have great facilities for both varsity and intramural sports. There's always something going on within these as well.

Transportation is provided for for travel within school buildings, surroundings and off campus sites and satellite locations. There is no need to pay as a student. If a zipcar is chosen it is economical and sufficient parking spaces are provided.
Bus, shuttle or car, all are equally good modes of transportation. If you don't want to drive, DONT a bus can get you where you need.

It Is What It Is – They offer school transportation that goes from the school to the local apartment complexes so that students don't have to take the city bus.

Guys & Girls:
It's All Real – The guys and girls of UCF are real people. Very down to earth people who want to help you, the school and the community. It is a place were all sorts of people can be found. There are so many different types of people, it really is a giant melting pot.

There are a lot of computer labs, but due to the student population, it can be difficult to find one. The wireless is available almost anywhere on campus, but in some areas, there are too many people using it, so you get a slow connection.

Good, but Assistance Could Be Better – There are many scholarships that could be available whether you are a minority, have financial need or based in the area of study that you are pursuing. It is important to always keep in mind that the deadlines for the scholarships are usually early in the year for the following academic year.

Great School – Always wanted to go here and it exceeded my expectations.

Punishments Fair, Policies Lenient, Foolishness Unaccepted – Don't cheat, don't break the law and you'll be fine.

Academic Village – Best place to live (for dorms) would be academic village. It's the newest and nicest place to live on campus. Though it's a bit far from your classes but close to the gym.

I love that our student union is opened 24/5. It provides extra time for extra study groups, even during the times you need to cram! The library is huge and is full of anything you need, and if you can't get it, the database allows you to get it. The gym is big and free to students! The stadium is nice! My high school graduation was at UCF, and I'm excited about graduating as a Knight on the same campus!

Very Diverse – There are students from all different nationalities, it makes it great to learn about different cultures that I have never even heard of. Every day as I am walking to class I hear students speaking different languages. It is the most diverse place that I have ever been too.

To Many People – The school it great, the teachers really know there material and can fully explain it. the only problem is that in every class that I have been in there is too many students. It is very difficult to find parking spaces and you end up having very long walk to all of your classes. Other than that its great.

Great, but There's Room for Improvement. I love the fact that my professors are flexible with credit hours and are friendly. They help with any questions you ask, and their specialized fields are interesting and keep you involved. I do not like how big the class sizes are. Sometimes, I feel uncomfortable asking questions in front of large groups (200+ students) and stay after class to ask them. This is time consuming and I have to write down my questions so I will not forget them. Other than the class size, I feel that the curriculum, buildings, internship opportunities, and workload provide a good program.

Process Was Not That Bad – I had to fill out a couple of form which were posted on my portal, I filled them out and took them to the financial aid office to double check them then the hold was taken of my account.

There is really NO good public transportation in the Orlando area. No one takes the bus system and it is difficult to get a taxi. You need a car at UCF.

UCF is the best undergrad school in Florida. It is not as uptight and stuffy as UF or FSU. UCF is a large school with a ton of degree options. The saying is "UCF - You Can't Finish" but it is more like why would you want to finish and leave this awesome school?

Downtown Orlando – Downtown Orlando has a pretty decent nightlife. The only issue is getting downtown from UCF. The bars downtown are fun but the drive (especially if you are going to drink) is about 20 minutes one way.

Guys & Girls:
Sorority Girls – Most of the sorority girls at UCF are very involved on campus, pretty and well rounded.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
