Its Florida so you will have those random showers from time to time but the weather has never really affected by campus experience. Just have an umbrella with you and you will be fine.

The permit is reasonable priced but good luck finding a spot. If you illegally park you will find a ticket when you come back to your car but having a car is not a necessity.

Downtown Orlando is close enough to enjoy, and is a great time if you are above 21. The bars around UCF are great too for people under 21 and serve as good time.

Rec and Wellness Center Is Excellent – Even with the number of students that UCF has they have still managed to make a gym big enough to support the student body. If the gym were bigger it would be really nice because when it is crowded it is almost impossible to workout but other than that it is a great facility.

Plenty of Computer Labs and up to Speed Technology – There are plenty of computers on campus for students to print papers whenever they need to, the computers are high speed computers and make being a student really convenient to everyone on campus. They could increase the number of computers in the math and business buildings to ensure students never miss exams or study opportunities but with as many students as UCF has it is hard to have enough computers for all of the students.

Guys & Girls:
Being the second largest University in the Nation, UCF has one of everything. The largest population consists of caucasion females and males. the Typical student is a white female in causal attire. The campus activities board provides the students with many concerts and comedic performances, those are the big ticket activities of interest on campus. A lot of students will lay out or play sports on Memory Mall, a big grass area by the UCF arena.

Although a few of the dorms are old, most of them are brand new and beautiful. There are a variety of options with housing style, you can choose between community style, suite style and even apartment style. They are all scattered throughout the entire campus, there is only one dorm that is way out of the way of most classrooms. The amenities are very inviting, the newer dorms are very clean. There are constantly activities for dorm goers to participate in, to meet new people and hangout. The cost is average with other florida schools. There is always someone that a student in need can go talk to, and help is easy to find.

Health & Safety:
The campus police at UCF is very involved in all of UCF's campus activites, etc. I personally feel very safe on campus, there are always security officers, prfoessors or faculty walking around. Campus crime is minimal which is excellent considering we are the second largest university in the nation. Any suspicious activity that happens on campus or around the community is put in an email or text message and sent out to all students and faculty, everyone is aware of what is happening on this campus. It is a very safe, educational environment to learn in.

Taking the party bus downtown is tons of fun and its only $10 plus includes admission to 3 or 4 different clubs. The clubs around campus such as FUBAR and Knight Library are OK but they tend to be more trashy.

Ladies and Gentlemen – There is such a range at UCF that it is hard to determine a generic look for the students.

There is tons of diversity on campus. Since there are over 50,000 students here it is hard NOT to find people that are different from you whether in regards to background, beliefs, religion and/or sexual orientation.

Good, but Could Be More! I am the recipient of several academic and music scholarships but I still have had to take out large amounts of federal student loans which will leave me in debt for many years following the completion of my degrees. I wish that the academic scholarships were higher and the music performance based scholarships were MUCH more, or full-rides similar to the system set up to recruit student athletes. Theatre and music majors work just as hard to perfect their art forms as athletes do to perfect their skills and we deserve just as much financial aid from the university.

The Greek life at UCF definitely plays a major role in the campus dynamic, but these organizations do not overrule the rest of the student population. Though we have many sorority and fraternity houses on campus, if you are not in a Greek organization, you do not feel left out as there is so much to do and become involved with on campus. Those who are a part of Greek life, though, really do enjoy the social atmosphere and strong group of friends that you build as you become more involved in Greek life. It's also truly amazing to see what these organizations can do when they stand together for a good cause.

As cliched as it is, the student population falls well within the university's slogan--we are lucky to be a part of such a diverse student population. There are student organizations for every affiliation possible, from the LGBT community to the devout religious groups that meet regularly on campus. If you are looking for a group that shares your interests and/or beliefs, it is very easy to do so using the Registered Student Organization database online...with over 400 RSOs on campus with new organizations being added every semester, there is something for everyone at UCF and the students and faculty do their best to make sure that students feel as welcome as possible within the UCF community.

I love UCF, it actually wasn't my first choice school. After my first week there I was convinced that everything happened for a reason. Between the help I receive from counselors, to the concerts, the events, the motivational speakers, I am always busy on campus. I love my school so much that just thinking about being part of these festivities motivates me to do well in school.

Honestly, I have never tried any sort of drug in my life, so maybe if I did the drug scene would be more prevalent at school. i am not sure if this review will seem biased for that reason. I am very conscious of the people that I surround myself with so I haven't really experienced anyone using or trying to get ahold of drugs. I have gone clubbing before, where I come into contact with many people. I have smelled the slight stench of marijuana outside of one or two clubs downton before but never much more than that. I have never felt peer pressure with drinking.

If you like football and basketball, you've come to the right school. Since our team has won titles they get the most money to build things, but you never hear about any other sports teams because they don't bring money to the school.

There is probably plenty of housing, but who wants roommates. Most apartments are expensive, but provide separate room leases, its probably a better option to find a house in location.

Health & Safety:
Always Informed on Security – As students we are always being informed by campus security when anything goes wrong or of any crime that has taken place in the area. This is linked to our Knights email accounts so we are always being informed. I've never felt threatened on this campus, but security, or better lighting could be encouraged in the parking lots at night.

I plan to eventually obtain an internship but I do not know much information about how to do it through the school. I want to do an internship so I can get job experience before I graduate.

School Policies – UCF has the perfect mixture of policies that aren't too strict but aren't to lenient either. I am very excited that UCF will become a smoke free campus next fall.

School Experiences So Far – Living in a dorm during my freshman year helped me make awesome friends who I am still very close with three years later. I still live with my freshman year roommates because we all get along so well and I still frequently see all the other friends I made throughout my years here because UCF has a very social campus.

I wish there were more healthier options on campus. A health food store would be nice or a restaurant based on organic foods. There are many fast food places but not that many places that offer healthy choices. I like to avoid the freshman 15.

There are many places within walking distance of UCF that offer a variety of foods at a decent price. In fact, many places will provide discounts for UCF students.

Safety on Campus – I have never felt unsafe while on the University of Central Florida's campus. There are many help beacons across campus in the event of an emergency that alert the campus police to your location and there is even a police station on campus for added security.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
