Dining Halls – I think UCF could use a lot of work when it comes the the dinning halls. There are only two located on campus and with the amount of students there are I feel as though there should be more. I had a meal plan during my freshman year, but after that I would never want one again. The menu is very repetitive and gets old after a while.

Popular Study Areas – UCF does a great job during midterm and finals weeks, by converting the student union into a place for studying. They give out free food at midnight and categorize each floor by different studying types, first floor for group studying and third floor for quite studying, ect. They also offer review sessions for many of the general education classes which are very helpful.

Convenient and Cheap – Shuttles are abundant as well as other possible options

Strict Yet Readily Available – Enforcement on parking and subsequent violations is strict, yet there is a very open transportation system that feasible for nearly every student.

I have not lived on campus and therefore cannot give a proper review of on-campus housing.

Don't Really See It – Don't really see drug use or even much drinking unless you go to a bar on campus or something like that.

Gyms Are Renovated – The gym at UCF was pretty good before but then they added on to it making it even better with more floor space and machines, and with an ever growing number of students the expansion pays for itself.

Guys & Girls:
You will find all types of good looking guys on the UCF campus, from sophisticated, athletic, good ol'country boys and serious and studious. If you can't find what you are looking for here you might need to slow down and take a second look. The girls are beautiful, athletic, smart and sassy. We are all pretty laid back and relaxed here at UCF, but like any college campus, we enjoy our night life.

We have quick and easy access to most major food chains just off campus from UCF. From Apple Bee's to fast food and Buffalo Wild Wing's to specialty spots like sushi, organic whole foods and smoothie king. Just a few miles away are the standard restaraunts like Olive Garden, Long Horn, Outback and Red Lobster. They are mostly very casual which is exactly our style on campus and you can find new and trendy places too.
Prices are about the same as any where else, with some places giving student discounts. We also have on campus chic-fi-la, subway, sbarro, chinese, and others.

Could Be a Little Better – I received some financial aid. The process was okay. Nothing terrible.

Its Florida – Its typical Florida weather. Rainy season consists of a lot of rain. There is no spring, goes from pretty chilly to hot. Humidity and a ton of sunshine.

It's There but Can Be Avoided – Drugs and alcohol are visible on weekends and during some events on campus but if your not into that scene then it can be easily avoided. I have never been pressured to do anything and there are campus police to make sure nothing gets out of hand. Drugs is usually just smoking and there is much more drinking.

You Don't Get Quite What You Pay for – The housing on campus is decent, but definitely on the pricey side. The better living quaters (the Towers) are naturally more expensive than the bottom of the barrel Apollo community. Honestly, off campus apartments and houses are the way to go.

Health & Safety:
Safe and Alert – Not a single time have I ever felt unsafe at UCF. The campus PD are good at what they do, though not the friendliest people. The campus alert system also sends out alerts and reports of any crime in the area to all students in a timely fashion, so we know what threats, if any are out there.

Alot Around – Plenty to do. Alot of places to go to shop and eat out.

Very Modern – All buildings for the most part have been updated. Very new facilities.

Not Too Bad – The parking lots are big and fairly spacious. But the price you pay for a space without a permit is too high. But with a permit you will find that you can park fairly close to your classes.

If you don't like heat, you won't like it here. I love it, it is usually sunny and hot. It is typical Florida weather- it could change at any moment.

Buses are a good option, especially considering parking is terrible. The buses run constantly all day.

the weather at UCF is always beautiful, the occasional rain puts a damper around campus

So Much Food – Orlando is a busy, loud town. There are always parties, if that's your thing, but the main thing I like is the food. Any food you could be in the mood for, you can find it. That is the best thing about Orlando for foodies like me.

I believe that my chosen profession will enable me to fulfill my desire to, and to expand my communications base. Education has always been an important aspect of my life. Though I have striven for academic excellence, in high school I took courses that I never attained the information to learn. Always wishing to make the most of my education, I was willing to overcome the negative and I took the initiative after high school to not let it happen yet again in college. During my stay in college I have matured significantly for my academics. I grew up in a household where none of my immediate family finished or started college. I not only want to prove to my family, but to myself that not only can I live on my own, that I also can work two jobs and take courses full time as well as manage a respectable GPA.

Health Information Management – I like the Health Information Management program at UCF. There are not alot of students in the program which allows one to work closer with the professors and Director of the program. The courses for this program are offered online and face to face with adds flexibility.

One unique thing about UCF is that there is always some event going on at the campus. The campus is really open with a great scene. There is always something going on outside between the buildings like contests, projects etc.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
